Women's Network Breakfast with Chef & Restaurateur Tiffani Faison

Hello everyone Holly here from Blythe Network News. Makani is on her way to her next host. She had recently been with Sandra (minkidynamite) who is my boss and who conceived the Traveling Blythe Program. This is our second interview of her. Reading this gives us a glimpse into her sunny personality and light hearted joy. Thank you Sandra for allowing us to interview you.

Holly: Hello Aunt Sandra. I wanted to know if you would consent again to being interviewed by BNN. I must admit that I am nervous about this interview than the last one as you are now my boss. I am honored to interview the woman who conceived the wonderful idea of The Traveling Blythes and brought people around the globe together.

Sandra:You really should be nervous!

Holly: How are your girls getting on with Makani?

Sandra: Quite well, on the first day they all did a photo shoot together to celebrate the new guest. It was a fest – all the girls got dressed, some have been naked for months. Now they have been banned to the shelf again while Makani got to learn how to use the public transport in Vienna, visited my workplace and enjoyed the snow. Actually she didn’t seem to enjoy any of it. What a grumpy girl!

Makani: (softly) What a character this host has been.

Holly: Can you tell us a bit about where you live?

Sandra: Certainly. I live in Vienna, the capital of Austria. It’s the best city of all, promised. ;) Only thing we are really missing is the sea, but climate change might change that in the long run. Also Vienna is no fun in the winter, it’s dirty, wet, cold and windy – if you ever plan to visit Vienna in the Winter season, you are plain crazy. And it’s way too hot and humid in Summer. So all there is left is a short Spring and Autumn. Bring a jacket, it’s windy.

Makani: You would think she could have arranged a better time for me to visit.

Holly: Has your town done anything special to welcome Makani?

Sandra: Of course, there was a huge Wet and Cold Celebration! In the first 3 days it rained more than usually it would have in the whole of January – pool party ahoy, here comes the sea!! But for Makani the Mayor himself made the Winter kick in! It began to snow for one day! Then government decided it might be good to change to rain again, so all the snow got flooded away. Snow made a return and it was a fiasco. Flights got cancelled and one tram derailed! Makani was moved by this gesture!

Makani: It was very dramatic. I liked that.

Holly: And last but now least, even though you have answered this is the past - do you like cheese?

Sandra: Yes. Especially the stinky ones.
