Conrail NE-2 is on the siding headed nothrbound at West Englewood NJ. on Saint Patrick's Day 03-17-1977. 6211 is an ex PRR SD45, 6101 is an ex Reading SD45, and 6255 is an ex PC SD40. NE-2 would meet southbound TV-16 near the Route 59 bridge in West Nyack NY.with the action taking place on Conrail's River Line,ex New York Central West Shore. Howard Kent Jr.

Some very nice church ruins not far north of Oslo
Managed to make every mistake in the book when shooting these. Overexposed by 3 stops. Three of six frames (6x12), either double exposed, or frames overlapped. This is a 6 sec exposure! And even managed to muck up the development. But these were salvageable.
DIY 4x5/6x12 camera, 6x12 back, Fujinon SW 90/f8. Efke R25 (EI 3), R09 1:200 for 80 mins (stand) @ 20C
Cette image vous semble familière ? Sous les nuages, les courants des bassins lèchent l'ancien germe de l'ancienne digue nord aux limites de la citadelles détruites pour agrandir le port (au XIXe siècle). Le port est calme, au loin se dressent les silos, la centrale électrique crache sa vapeur. Ces images sont pourtant déjà du passé. Les anciens silos hors service ont été démolis et plus aucune vapeur ne ressortira de la centrale. Ne subsistent plus que les nouveaux silos, moins nombreux, et d'inertes cheminées. Le temps passe vite et une image qui date d'il y a à peine quatre mois est déjà une estampe dépassée, peinte par le temps qui coule sur la toile de l'histoire, un paysage industrialo-portuaire sorti d'un passé révolu.
Ils sont nés le 13 mai dernier...
Ma fille prend soin de toute cette marmaille à poils..:-)
UNE REVISITE pour une BONNE NOUVELLE: les 3 chiots ont été adoptés...

Spotted this fox sleeping in a neighbor's backyard. When I looked over the fence, it woke. After a few moment it moved on. But while processing these images it returned to the same spot and slept for another hour. Deep sleep is important.
Un unico arco ben conservato, lungo una ventina di metri, scavalca la gola del Rio Novelli (più profonda di quel che s’immagina da lontano). Il ponte fu costruito nel 1766 dalla famiglia Cambiaso di Genova, per agevolare gli scambi tra la costa ligure e la pianura padana. A metà campata rimaniamo incantati davanti a un’edicola. Una Madonnina candida tiene con aria dolce ma ferma il bambino vivace. Questo cerca di divincolarsi. O forse, se si ruota verso sinistra il punto di vista, di abbracciarla ancora più stretta.
A single well-preserved arch, about twenty meters long, crosses the gorge of the Rio Novelli (deeper than what can be imagined from afar). The bridge was built in 1766 by the Cambiaso family of Genoa, to facilitate trade between the Ligurian coast and the Po Valley. Halfway through the span we are enchanted in front of a newsstand. A white Madonnina holds the lively child with a sweet but firm air. This tries to wriggle out. Or perhaps, if you turn the point of view to the left, to embrace it even closer.
PORKERI.
Porkeri is a village in the Faroe Islands, situated north of Vágur on Suðuroy's east coast. As of 2004 it had a population of 332. It is located at61°28′59″N 6°44′36″W / 61.48306°N 6.74333°W / 61.48306; -6.74333.
Porkeri has been inhabited at least as early as the 14th century.
The wooden church is from 1847 and contains things donated by seamen who survived lethal storms on the sea, maintaining the tradition of almissu (seamen in danger promised - according to Nordic tradition - to donate churches, the material or such to God if they got back home alive).
In 1984 a new school was built in the village. It is built in a modern Faroese style and has grass on the roof. The old school in Porkeri was built in 1888. It was used as such for 96 years. It is now owned by "Porkeris Bygdasavn" which is a museum. The village also has a church, Porkeri Church with a graveyard.
Tradition says that once in the old days a dispute of field boundaries between Porkeri and the neighbouring village Hov was sorted out by a walking-race between one man from each village.
