Room-filling wooden sculpture "Neo-Nature", Futurium, Berlin
"Neo-Nature
We live in an environment made by humans. This "new nature" (neo-nature) is constantly being transformed by our actions. If we allow ourselves to be more inspired by nature in shaping the environment, fascinating results can be achieved. The large wooden sculpture shows what this can look like. It gives the impression of a growing, natural structure because its appearance is based on an assemblage of tiny organisms. The shapes of the individual wooden elements were calculated by an algorithm in such a way that a complex, unique object could be formed from only eleven different wooden components. The sculpture is thus the result of a close interplay between nature and technology. Technology also played an important role in the assembly process: The artisans used augmented reality glasses to virtually visualise the correct placements of the 2,000 wooden elements and 11,500 metal parts." Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire, is a late 18th century (neo-classical) mansion of historical importance (now a hotel). Designed by Robert Adams with an extensive park established by Capability Brown, it is overlooking now - Luton Airport. Times are changing. Here a detail of the Italianate fountain and lily pond to the east of the building. Shot wide-open, Classic Negative film simulation.
This neo-classical building in downtown Johannesburg dates from 1907, according the decorative wrought iron work on the front entrance. Apart from the Atlantes flanking the entrance, there are various other pieces of statuary adorning the building. It is currently occupied by a school, but I'm sure in times past it was probably home to some or other government department.

if anyone is specifically inclined to know which analog era glass performs like this on a contemporary camera , I have a few samples in the link below . They have been uploaded in colour to drive home the point that this glass still delivers one of the best , supple renditions. The copy used is about 35 years old, most of which, it was lying in a warehouse unattended. The glass has no fungal attack or fog to speak of and is built to last. The interesting point here is, if you have a decent digital medium format body and an old school attitude all it takes to kickoff the game without the whistles is about one fourth of the cost that you would spend on a native hyperactive do everything- for everyone- all at once -lens. *
