I had hoped to get down to the stream when the snow was deeper and still on the trees, but I couldn't get near it until Thursday. I love how the snow covers up all the trash & litter that is everywhere, especially after storms.
It’s difficult to see a field this size and not want to run through it and touch each one of these Sunflowers. It looks like a “Neighborhood” unto itself. The setting sun just intensifies the beauty that’s already there. Thanks for viewing my work, Be Grateful for everything.
There's nothing I enjoy more than seeing one of our neighborhood trees burst into blossoms. Dogwood trees have always held a special place in my heart. They seem so unassuming until suddenly one day it seems as if a florist has covered the leaves in flowers.

Once the very pillar of local commerce, these old neighborhood groceries have gone the way of the dinosaur. A mom and pop affair if there ever was one, they solved the issue of food deserts before the term was ever invented. Better have a car now if you don’t have public transportation.
At 2.73 million light-years away, the Triangulum Galaxy is considered part of our local group - and is the 3rd largest galaxy in the neighborhood. Although its area in the sky is roughly 4 full moons, its low surface brightness make is extremely difficult for unaided observation - requiring dark skies.

I ran into my next door neighbor and his dog on my walk today.
We crossed paths on the German Club driveway.
After we chatted a few minutes, he headed on down the driveway toward the road, when a herd of deer went running across the driveway right in front of him.
I had been heading up the driveway in the opposite direction, but just happened to turn around to look behind me, just in time to get this shot.
Beautiful day here in Auckland NZ ( Conifer Grove) and went for a walk through the neighborhood!! And as always can not help but have to take pictures!)
The starlings begin to gather and fly around in groups. Are these the first early signs announcing the end of summer?

Angry Penguin has been hanging around this corner for many years. No one knows exactly when he first showed up, nor do we expect him to leave anytime soon.
Sometimes Jasper takes it upon himself to take up the neighborhood watch, looking for ne'er-do-wells. This time hiding in the lantana flowers.
