I had hoped to get down to the stream when the snow was deeper and still on the trees, but I couldn't get near it until Thursday. I love how the snow covers up all the trash & litter that is everywhere, especially after storms.
It’s difficult to see a field this size and not want to run through it and touch each one of these Sunflowers. It looks like a “Neighborhood” unto itself. The setting sun just intensifies the beauty that’s already there. Thanks for viewing my work, Be Grateful for everything.

Built in 1938 as a Marathon Gas Station, this delightful structure is now the home of the Springfield Bicycle Doctor. In the years between being a gas station and bicycle shop, the building has been occupied as a laundry and dry cleaners, real estate office and, more recently, a barber shop. The current owners, Robert and Cynde LaBonte, purchased the property in early 2012, and have since remodeled the original building for their bicycle sales and repair shop, and have added a small storage building.
Once the very pillar of local commerce, these old neighborhood groceries have gone the way of the dinosaur. A mom and pop affair if there ever was one, they solved the issue of food deserts before the term was ever invented. Better have a car now if you don’t have public transportation.
I ran into my next door neighbor and his dog on my walk today.
We crossed paths on the German Club driveway.
After we chatted a few minutes, he headed on down the driveway toward the road, when a herd of deer went running across the driveway right in front of him.
I had been heading up the driveway in the opposite direction, but just happened to turn around to look behind me, just in time to get this shot.
Beautiful day here in Auckland NZ ( Conifer Grove) and went for a walk through the neighborhood!! And as always can not help but have to take pictures!)
Angry Penguin has been hanging around this corner for many years. No one knows exactly when he first showed up, nor do we expect him to leave anytime soon.
Sometimes Jasper takes it upon himself to take up the neighborhood watch, looking for ne'er-do-wells. This time hiding in the lantana flowers.
xena took it upon herself to investigate the neighborhood to see if anything needed to be marked or useful for potential napping locations
Finally spring is here and it seems every tree and bush are bursting forth with leaves and blossoms! Enjoying every moment outside in nature.
Wishing you well flickr friends...enjoy the weekend! Pat...xo
