Apologies for the bad lighting, but we had to stay in the roped in area and the sun was setting. Needless to say they are touchy about security this close to the pad.

I didn't realise until I returned home, but I watched Steve Robinson on a live EVA broadcast on BBC News 24 during STS-114. He was removing Gap Fillers from the underside of the Shuttle on its first flight after the Columbia disaster

The only thing not to scale on the shuttle mockup is the tail - it is 4 feet shorter in order to fit beneath the overhead crane
