On viewing the ongoing developments and initiatives at the Nadukuppam High School over the past three years the Education Department through personal intervention of the Chief Educational Officer has sanctioned 42 lacks through National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) to construct 12 class rooms in a three storey building entailing one science lab and girls and boys toilet facilities. A large construction agency received the contract for the building construction and work started at the beginning of October 2005. 100 people have worked six days a week for the last 6 months and now all the buildings are almost complete, ready to use in the next academic year. This infrastructure is an important development at the school where up until its construction only had seven classrooms for 525 students. With construction of this building it has been suggested by the education department and the headmaster the possibility of other rooms in the compound being given to NEEC for activities such as permanent education displays, an English room and a space for vocational training such as carpentry and pottery.
