Douglas DC-3C + Douglas DC-3G

Palmer - PAAQ

Douglas DC-3C (cn 6208) Sometime during it's 73 year journey to the present this aircraft acquired clipped wing tips.

Delivered to the USAAF early in 1943 as C-47 41-38749 it saw service in the UK before being sold to Scottish Aviation Ltd in as G-AWS, and was used for troop contracts as RAF Dakota 1 WZ984. It then returned to North America as CF-FCQ with Canada's Maritime Central Airways. As N44F next came Beldex Corp. then American Contracts and Trusts, Manor Real Estate Co, Pennsylveani RR and Jack Adams Aircraft Sales. As N1157S it flew with Carolina Fleets Inc, followed by N115FC & N44BA with Bo-S-Air and Bowman Aviation. It then became N305SF with Skyfreighters, Majestic Leasing and Majestic Air Cargo and was sold to it's current owner in 2002 and stored at Palmer, Alaska in 2004. I wonder what will be it's ultimate fate?
