I see this as an perfect example of where the Modern times and age old traditions blend together. The Bandra–Worli Sea Link in Mumbai was designed as the first cable-stayed bridge to be constructed in open seas in India in 2010.It has been contstructed over Mahim Bay is a bay, part of the Arabian Sea. The bay holds a small indigenous fishing population known as the Kolis who practise an age old tradition of spear fishing as you can see in the picture. The Koli people are an ethnic Indian group native to Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana states. I have more information on my blog, please have a look.

Satat - everlasting : The theme for #rangoli festival. I have created a #collage with nine of the Rangoli creations by the #students of #SPV #school #sardarpatelvidyalaya

It is amazing to see how #children interpret the theme, work on an #idea, #conceive the design and execute in such a #vivid way! Every year I just go there to see the execution and try to understand the thought process behind.
