Shooting water, watching Transformers, eating Lifesavers, contemplating my next business venture = a great Saturday.
I made these guys a few years ago. Originally I built only Leonardo (I didn't have the orange and purple bricks at the time). I had made Leonardo as a gift for a friend. At about the same time, I built a man in a turtle costume to put him in LEGOLAND California's Halloween Miniland display.
When I finally did have all colors, I made the entire group.

Length: 423 studs
The Mutant Abbot consists of 20 'vertebrae' which allow for up to 40 modules to be attached. The ship can be customised for different missions, adding more crew space, stowage and specialist equipment depending on requirements.
Now more colour coordinated and has a shell on his back...head is now not as firmly fitting, but still usable.

That's right, this morning I was sitting down for
breakfast with the famous Tony the Tiger .....
Everything was cool and copasetic when out
of no-where a mutant snail slithered in on us.
These things are sneaky, sticky and scary ;0

right now, cabin fever is eating me up.
Mr. Monkey the MoJo Man is under the
desk with his head resting on my foot.

big belly rub, like right now ;)

Being a naturalist nearly my whole life and a photographer only a few years, this is - for me - a rare photo of something i see frequently. Since amphibians seem to have an easily disrupted genetic code i have seen quite a few mutant frogs and tadpoles in my time. Two heads, more than 4 limbs or less than 4, stunted growth patterns, etc. This is usually due to pollutants, but other things do come into play.
I believe, because of the size (which i didn't have a ruler to indicate his 4-5 inches), that this is a bullfrog tadpole/frog whose body hasn't quite absorbed the jelly-like flesh when turning into a frog.
This poor thing was barely able to wriggle its way out of the pond and after that was incapable of motility. I looked for it the next day, but it was gone.
