Mutants, zombies, ghouls, whatever you want to call them. You can shoot them all. And it's guilt free! Like sugar-free cookies. Heehee... (Starring that homicidal cyborg Hexie Bloodstar)
As I saw posts on social media from people going to Burning Man next week, I realized that I hadn't gotten through all of my photos from the last time I went, in 2012. Between the heat, the dust and the darkness, the conditions can be challenging for photography, but with hundreds of works of art and mutant vehicles, it's a hotbed of creativity and a riot of color.
In spite of a ban on commercial activity within the event, estimates on the economic impact on Northern Nevada alone ranged from $35 - 44M in 2012 (not including participants' preparations at home). Home Depot, Wal-Mart and many other retail establishments get cleaned out this week, selling building and camping supplies and groceries.
Storm and Rogue have a pretty big challenger, but they're more than up to it.
The Sentinel's colors are just so... 1992. I mean that in a positive way. 😂
Plage des Kaolins, en soirée et par forte houle.
Je pourrai rester des heures a observer ces vagues se former et se fracasser sur le sable dans un grondement de tonnerre :)
Set 3 now, and tbh, i'm having alot of fun with these, maybe after when i'm finished with the batman movie fig set i could do more stuff like these.

Spiderman: If any of you are big spiderman comic fans, then you know exactly the suit i'm setting spidey up with next to the lizard, in the comics (and animated series) spiderman gets mutated and develops 6 arms, giving him 8 limbs like ya . . . ya get it. Now obviously i know lego can't do a 6 arm'ed spiderman, but a 4 armed spiderman is plausable, they jsut have to re-use the arms from the rio durrent fig from the starwars set in classic blue. The spidey mask is also a slightly new print, with half of it being torn and the other eye in gun metal print, but also cracked.
the lizard: now THIS! this was fun to work on. Main inspiration was the killer croc fig i did a few days ago. I really wanted to do his look from the 2017 marvel superheros games. and you can clearly see, i trie to outline a few bits with the white and purple to give it more of a 3d texture, not the best but i'm working on it. Much like TLBM killer croc, he uses the rancor hands in normal green, and like killer croc's classic croc head, this one is re-using the raptor heads, cause it's simular. purple pants, lime green scales, a tail, this was a fun big fig to work on
shoker: the last fig i worked on, and i feel like the closest to a purist shocker is using the catman boots, a brown torso, shockers arms from the Sp:HC set, and maybe the pinaple head. Still a fun guy to do, love how the brown turned out on him
theres only 1 more set from sapphires list, and i feel like since it's such a big set, maybe i should split it in 2. but i mean i DEFINATLY need help with the herbie build, and maybe some more source material for figs standing at a 3/quarter stance. tell me what your guys thoughts on these figs so far.

Hidden deep in the Los Angeles Arboretum is a strange, mutant cactus, likely of extraterrestrial origin. I believe that it is a brainy entity with malevolent intelligence placed here by aliens. Beware!! It’s spiny exterior indicates that it has a hideous internal secret to protect . . .
Study this photo well. If you see this unearthly organism near your community, take immediate action!
This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and a KOWA LENS-S 1:3.5/150mm lens with a Kowa L1A ø67 filter using Kodak Portra 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

These really are in the cucumber family but are NOT edible. The first time i saw them dangling off a dead tree neat the wetland behind my pond it was winter time and they looked like Loofa sponges hanging there blowing in the wind, and frosted with snow. I photographed the odd looking things and promptly forgot about them until that fall, when i was wandering around looking for things to photograph. I saw these strange looking “Cucumbers” with huge mutant spines!! It was then that i remembered the dried out Loofa sponges hanging there!!! As i normally do, i made a mental note to try and figure out what they were...and never did!!! Hey....sometimes i actually have a pretty busy life!!!
Yesterday i saw a new crop of them, so i yanked then down in hopes of allowing them to dry and seeing them inside out!!! i thought they would be good for some strange macro shots when they are dry....if i remember!!
Anyway....for those of you with a need to know more ...like me...this pretty much explains them...and no.....they are not edible thanks to having innards like a loofa sponge!!!
Enjoy day 3 of that sweet long weekend!! SMILE!!

Bane, the male ostrich, was doing a romantic dance for the female ostrich, Mutant. Here's Mutant's response. She was not impressed! The antics had human onlookers laughing.
Mutants came to public knowledge in 1973. Then a decade after the mutant known as Apocalypse/En Sabah Nur struck Earth, this is where we are two years later, in 1985. Apparently music was at its peak. So were comics.
A unidentified man only known as “X” was seen on the bridge near his home. “X” is rumoured to be from the future, where he went by the name Nate Grey and it is possible he blended himself into society with the appearance of a young looking man with his illusion powers. He is said to be photographer with mad skills, and does not seem to pose no harm, but think about it, his telekinetic powers could pose a threat to humanity.
If seen, please contact the Essex Corporation, or the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. The Church of Humanity will also be a good place to be reached as well.
This is just a generic Mutant from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. This also probably marks the end of this set. I may return to it later.
The visor and spikes are made out of procreate. The Joker face on his back was removed. This was painted by me.
