This is a mated pair of Wood Storks that were nesting at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Florida last April. It was very interesting to watch these birds and see some of their behavior.

I made 2 cakes Yesterday for my twin grandchildren
I filled the cakes the day before and iced them, for 10" cakes takes about
10 minutes for each one, Sunday I started at 9 am after I came from work and
finished all the decorations as I was going along at 12:30 pm, the only Idea I had was the drumthat design is from a toy drum, the garden is just what I love and want my granddaughter to grow up loving, also I will try to encourage both to learn music,
In life you never alone when you love music:-)
Please view the other cake shots, Thank you!
Have a wonderful week ahead my friend:-)
I must admit this hasn’t been the first time to have experienced this unique bonding, when the bird accepted my presence and wouldn’t fly away. Call it “interspecies communication" if you wish, or telepathy - I don’t know (smile).
After taking a few good shots with my 400mm f5.6, I have decided to take the chance and switch lenses, for a shallower DOF. The cute owl didn't move a bit. I must admit having experienced a feeling of acceptance and trust. I gave the owl its space by not getting too close.
Shot taken at f2.8 with Canon 5dIII coupled with canon 70-200 f/2.8 II.

On a recent Flickr meet-up at Davenport Beach, I met up with Joshua, James and Bryan. Joshua suggested we go to this cool beach located near Four Mile beach. After a short walk and some weed whacking with our tripod we arrived at this cool place. The tide was low but the clouds were minimal, so we worked with what we had. The best part of this meet up was hanging out and eating the hamburgers at "Betty" burger in Capitola. A must have for anyone visiting the coast. Have a great weekend and thanks much for visiting. on one of my many trips back to Buffalo ,NY. i like to stop here. this place is on the Historic registry. when i was growing up, it was all factories here. and that brick building was a gas station . it now serves wonderful lunches. on certain nites of the week there are concerts and food trucks here. its a wonderful atmosphere.
Chinese tourist groups are easy to spot. Many, if not most have a unique baseball hat of bright colours. Our group from Canada included sizable percentage of Asian/Canadians, but none came from Hongkong, Taiwan or mainland China. I did not see people playing baseball, but many are wearing baseball hats. In fact, the only sports I have seen playing was badminton, tai-chi, sword swinging and also line-dancing is big. Given the fact that 90% of North American baseball hats are made in China and used for promoting anything from tooth paste to tractors, no wonder the Chinese adopted them.
There were several tourist groups, like this one from the far away Chinese provinces, at wide promenade of The Bund. The Bund, must see when in Shanghai, is actually collections of 50 historic buildings from the former British Concession on the west side of Huangpu River.

Must confess Halloween is my most dreaded holiday.
The hype is impossible to ignore . . . and the fact this particular event has become as celebrated as Christmas is a bit disturbing to me. None-the-less, it's everywhere . . . and we do enjoy the other parts of this indoor/outdoor used book park!
For Window Wednesday, this works!
End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path. One that we all must take.

The "must" of Beaufortain, Beaufort.
Recognizable by its concave heel, Beaufort AOP conceals, under its beautiful golden rind, a firm body that melts in the mouth and reveals exceptional aromas: a delicate nutty flavor and a rich fragrance of alpine flowers.
"...These are the seasons of emotion
And like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion
I see the torch we all must hold
This is the mystery of the quotient quotient
Ah, upon us all, upon us all a little rain must fall
Just a little rain, oh yeah
Uh, ooh, yeah yeah yeah"

So therefore in order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present. And it certainly does around on Brindley Place at night, where it's full of restaurants and bars and also, on an enviable canalside location that makes Brindleyplace one of most Birmingham’s best locations, for perfect tranquillity and relaxation.
So? - If we are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody else that it does!
Many thanks for your cool comments and compliments from you here, my flickr friends !!!
"I must pray more and more for courage, as I certainly have neither the courage or strength to follow the path that is certainly my duty now.
With the fears and rages, that possess many confused people, if I say things that seem to threaten their interests or conflict with obsessions, then I will surely get it.
I need patience to listen, to learn, to try to understand, and courage to take all the consequences and be really faithful.
This alone is a full-time job.
I dread it, but it must be done, and I don't quite know how.
To save my soul, by trying to be one of those who spoke and worked for Peace, not for madness and destruction."
-Thomas Merton. November 12 1961.
I must confess to an act of photographic neglect on our recent cruise. My camera, poor thing, was relegated to cabin duty while I busied myself with the noble art of doing absolutely nothing, paired with the company of good friends.
This iPhone image is of the so-called 'Secret Waterfalls' in Port Vila, Vanuatu. I don’t wish to cast aspersions on the word 'secret,' but when you’re sharing it with approximately a thousand other adventurers off the Ovation of the Seas, it feels less like uncovering a hidden gem and more like an open house. With excellent natural plumbing.
Still, the cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear pools were pretty impressive and provided a refreshing dip.
Cheers to the simple joys!

Come and sit my lovely cats,
and tell me
which one of you scared my date away.
When I opened the door
when he rang,
I saw the horror on his face.

O! Wanderers in the shadowed land
Despair not! For though dark they stand,
All woods there be must end at last,
And see the open sun go past:
The setting sun, the rising sun,
The day's end, or the day begun.
For east or west all woods must fail.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK-END EVERYBODY. :)
It's only been about a couple of days
You must have gone and put a spell on me
I can't get you out from under my veins
Singing oh my Lord
She'll be the death of me
I'm not the one to normally play the fool
So tell me brother what's a man to do
Half mad, half mad
Going crazy over you
Singing oh my God
If you're the fire I'm the fuel
Well my mama, yeah she'd always say
It's stupid to get in between
A woman who knows what she wants
Well I guess I made that mistake
I'm young and foolish or brave
And she's made her way into my heart
I gotta get out
This is what you get when you fall in love
No one ever said how good it hurts
I tried once, but it's once too much
You end up getting burned
I'm like the gasoline you light the match
Ain't no one else who can burn me like that
So I cross my heart, kill my desire
This is what you get when you play with fire
Ooooh oooh
This is what you get when you play with fire
Ooooh oooh
This is what you get when you play with fire
I'm a pyromaniac it ain't safe
'Cause you've got troubles written over your face
You say lover gotta have a little faith
Thinking that I'd have mercy
But I know you ain't a saint

It must be frustrating to fly overhead searching for a snail, hover to find one, maneuver, slide into the water, pick it up, fly away, look and..............emptyl!! Dang it! Discard and try again!

Don't do wildlife stuff but a night out with my photo club kept me off the streets .
I must have been a good girl this year. I heard sleigh bells while feeding my horses yesterday so hopped on my horse bareback to go investigate and look at what I found. I definitely feel the Christmas spirit :-) Apparently, there was lay offs at the North pole that's why the horses are pulling the sleigh.
