The bow is on stringed instruments, the hardwood stick covered with horse hair. At the end of the bow is the frog that the musician holds with his right hand and then leads the bow over the sides of the instrument. By moving back and forth on the strings, the stick-slip effect generates a vibration and thus the sound!
Der Bogen ist bei Streichinstrumenten, der mit Pferdehaaren bespannte Hartholzstab. Am Ende des Bogens ist der Frosch den die/der Musiker mit der rechten Hand umfasst und dann den Bogen über die Seiten des Instrumentes führt. Durch das Hin- und Herstreichen auf den Saiten wird durch den Stick-Slip-Effekt eine Schwingung und damit der Ton erzeugt!
L'archet est sur instruments à cordes, le bâton de bois dur recouvert de crin de cheval. Au bout de l'archet se trouve la grenouille que le musicien tient avec sa main droite et qu'il porte ensuite sur les côtés de l'instrument. En se déplaçant sur les cordes, l'effet stick-slip génère une vibration et donc le son!

O arco está nos instrumentos de corda, o bastão de madeira coberto de cabelos. No final do arco é o sapo que o músico segura com a mão direita e depois carrega o arco nos lados do instrumento. Movendo-se para a frente e para trás nas cordas, o efeito de stick-slip gera uma vibração e, portanto, soa!

Alla fine dell' arco si trova la rana che il musicista tiene con la mano destra e poi conduce l' arco sui lati dello strumento. Muovendosi avanti e indietro sulle corde, l' effetto stick-slip genera una vibrazione e quindi il suono!
De boeg is op snaarinstrumenten, de hardhouten stok bedekt met paardenhaar. Aan het einde van de boog zit de kikker die de muzikant met zijn rechterhand vasthoudt en dan de boog over de zijkanten van het instrument leidt. Door heen en weer te bewegen op de snaren genereert het stick-slip effect een vibratie en dus het geluid!

On May 12 it's ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day.
May 12 was chosen as it coincided with the birth date of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Nightingale became chronically ill in her mid-thirties after returning from the Crimean War; the M.E.-like illness often left her bedridden during the last 50 years of her life.

Un musicista, nello specifico un violinista, uno dei tanti strepitosi artisti che si possono incontrare edammirare a londra, suona ed allieta il passaggio della gente, col suo sorriso, la sua musica in cambio delle offerte dei passanti. L'arte e la musica sono sempre la colonna sonora della vita.

All the photos I present were taken in towns and on the beaches near Taormina (Sicily-Italy); I made photos related to "street photography and beach photography"; I made some photo-portraits of people I didn't know, I thank them very much for their sympathy and their availability; I tried to capture the essence of minimal photographic stories, collected walking along the street or on the beaches ... in search of fleeting moments ...
My thoughts, like a huge multitude of his admirers, go to the great Italian singer-songwriter, composer, musician, enlightened thinker and film director Franco Battiato, who recently passed away at the age of 76: He was born in Riposto (at the time called Ionia, in Sicily) near the town where I live (Taormina), and He lived not far away, on the slopes of Etna, in the village of Milo.
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently by means of a post -production. ---------------------------------------------------------
Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate in paesi e sulle spiagge vicini Taormina (Sicilia-Italia); ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography ed alla beach photography”; ho realizzato dei foto-ritratti di persone che non conoscevo, le ringrazio veramente tanto per la loro simpatia e la loro disponibilità; ho cercato di cogliere al volo l’essenza di storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada o sulle spiagge... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Il mio pensiero, al pari di una enorme moltitudine di suoi estimatori daltronde, va al grandissimo cantautore, compositore, musicista, pensatore illuminato e regista italiano Franco Battiato, scomparso di recente all'età di 76 anni: egli nacque a Riposto (all'epoca chiamata Ionia) vicino al paese nel quale vivo (Taormina), ed abitava non molto distante, alle pendici dell'Etna, nel paesino di Milo.
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.---------------------------------------------------------
