Museum of flight is my favorite place in Seattle. The memorial airplane for all of aviation freaks is there. It is the first 747 called "001".

Concorde is the first airplane of SuperSonic Transporter(SST) for commercial segment.

If you look carefully at the reflections you will see me and Bob and some of the many other visitors to the Museum of Flight.

For piercing the sky.

Lots of interesting decals on aircraft at the Flight Museum.

UK's Royal Air Force's "Red Arrows" were in Seattle for a fuel-stop layover from the previous weekend's Oregon Int'l Air Show in McMinnville before they head to Vancouver. BC. Their aerial tour is to show unity between Britain and the US as well as inspire the next generation to get involved with the STEM fields.

First Boeing 727 airliner, a 727-22. This aircraft, N7001U, was used for certification trials and then turned over to United Airlines which operated it until 1991.

In June 2004, I had an opportunity to examine the exterior and interior of this historic aircraft at the Museum of Flight's restoration facility. The facility is located at Paine Field (PAE) in Everett, Washington.

Seattle Museum of Flight

Yesterday was the first Thursday of the month which means many museums in Seattle are free. The Museum of Flight is normally $20.00 for adults so we decided a free day would be a good day to visit. It seemed that everyone else in Seattle thought it was a good idea as well as the museum was very crowded.

It was exciting to finally catch it without all the clutter around it...

Impressed with the LR built-in panorama software - this is a ~27 shot panorama with very good de-ghosting and transitions. Can clearly see Shan, Luke, Lana and Grandpa in here. 12844x5988

The Museum of Flight contains a faux air traffic control tower. I shot this row of flags outside the museum as I shuffled through the tower with dozens of other visitors.
