A great sight for collectors!
The car that many people consider to be the king of muscle cars is the Plymouth Hemi 71 Cuda was available with several engines including the 340 V-8, 383 V-8, the venerable 440 V-8 and of course the legendary 426 Hemi. The Hemi made an impressive 425 HP (gross), a feat that few other engines could match. An available option was the "Shaker" hood (seen here.) It was called this because the air cleaner that was mounted to the engine came through the hood and shook as you drove. To own one of these pieces of automotive history you either have to be very lucky or very wealthy (or both.) They only may 7 Hemi 'Cuda Convertibles with the Shaker hood. At auction they go for well over $1 million. This one also features a driver- the most famous person to drive a Hemi Cuda- Nash Bridges (Don Johnson) in his signature yellow blazer (and yes I know the one that he drove was yellow.)
What has become an annual event that just keeps on keeping on, is the Auto fest Spring car Nats held in Shepparton. Here is a link to the event organisers page, autofest.com.au/.
The event has been going for over 30 years, and for many there is no better way to spend the weekend than with like-minded people, as the entrants burn rubber with an excess of horsepower, that is thankfully quite obscene : )
There was and is everything from the go to woe, handling events, drifting, and of cause burn outs! Burnouts bouncing of the rev limiting, literally hitting the red line burnouts. How much rubber do they burn, enough so I can smell it from my house nearly a mile away : ) PS the smoke signals might be cultural appropriation, so some one should bring along a Pontiac and make it officially ok : P
Jack Danniels www.jackdaniels.com/en-au has a bar, so Tennessee is represented, although in the main part, not much American iron turns up at the event in comparison to the Australian contingent and Japanese cars.
V8s are the flavor, although you might be surprised like I was this year to see a Honda S2000 turn up, a pleasant inclusion, with one of the all-time great 4 bangers in it.
Black snot is a thing, that is if you can handle the close quarters action! You might like to take some year plugs, even then for about mile you will still be able to hear the cars at it.
As a car enthusiast I enjoy the day, friendly people getting their thing on, and having a great time.
PS. Make sure you drink lots of water, and keep hydrated!

Well weathered ALCo DL541 model, 45s1 heads a ballast train near Tahmoor in New South Wales during upgrading of the Main South line in 2006/07 by track manager Australian Rail Track Corporation.
45s1 was originally built by AE Goodwin of Sydney for the New South Wales Government Railways in 1963 as 45 class no.4532. Withdrawn in 1994 it was purchased by niche operator Silverton Rail with ownership transferring through a series of acquisitions to Engenco.
The loco was onsold to Southern Shorthaul Railroad in 2016 and later re-numbered to its original 4532..

The 2015 HUNKY JESUS CONTEST with THE SISTERS OF PERPETUAL INDULGENCE !
A MUSCLE-BOUND, diaper clad, HUNKY JESUS carrying his toy Easter bunnies, two baby bottles filled with milk, and sucking on a pacifier waddled up on stage much to the delight of Sister ROMA and the crowd. Everyone went in to a wild uproar when he squirted his bottle of milk all over his golden tan, rippled muscled beautiful body a la Flashdance. Milk really do a body good...BABY JESUS won the title of 2015 HUNKY JESUS CONTEST!
The sexy lanky ROLLER DISCO JESUS stunned the crowed with his roller skating antics on stage, ok it was his tight muscled body in a white disco jumpsuit which was ripped open in just the right places !
The EXORCIST JESUS also got the audience howling with his Dr. Frankenfurter black lace , neglige outfit and 6-inch black platform boots.
Afterwards, HUNKY, MUSCLE-BOUND BABY JESUS was pulled aside by tons of people for a photo-op !
