Dodge Chargers are a great choice for a muscle car restoration project.
Aside from the base 318ci V8, the 383ci motor was offered in both two or four-barrel versions, producing 290 and 330 horsepower, respectively.
On the top of the engine option list was the 375 horsepower 440 Magnum and the legendary 426 Hemi.

My husband was in the hospital 4-3-06 (Baylor Hospital, Dallas, TX), and the construction going on outside his window (3rd floor) was fascinating. These guys are risk-takers!

La BB 67096 de Nevers est dans son état d’origine. Elle manœuvre en gare pendant une heure creuse. Elle est encadrée par des chariots de gare, des vieux lampadaires, la Tour de l’Horloge, et une équipe de la voie affectée au remplacement de quelques traverses, pendant une pause clope.
Les anciennes traverses sont stockées entre les rails de la voie sur laquelle circule la 67096.
Les travaux étaient entièrement manuels, tout à l’énergie musculaire! Et l’équipe continuait à travailler pendant que les trains roulaient sur la voie d’à côté. Ils ne portaient pas d’équipements personnels de protection (EPI), pas de casques, de gants, de chaussures de sécurité …
De nos jours, le travail au détail n’existe quasiment plus, on ne remplace plus quelques traverses isolées, on refait toute la voie. Ces deux voies seraient condamnées, les quais interdits d’accès … et peut-être même une grande partie de la gare !

EN - 19 June 1973, 15:45 – Paris Gare de Lyon.
BB 67096 of the Nevers depot is still in its as-built condition. It is moving light in the station during a quiet hour. It is framed by station trolleys, old lampposts, the famous Gare de Lyon Clock Tower, and a track gang assigned to replacing a few sleepers, taking a cigarette break.
The old sleepers are stacked between the rails of the track on which 67096 is moving.
The work was entirely manual, relying solely on muscle power. The gang continued working while trains were running on the adjacent track. They wore no high visibility clothes, no personal protective equipment, no helmets, gloves, or safety boots.
Nowadays, spot repairs have virtually disappeared: instead of replacing a few isolated sleepers, the entire track is renewed. Both tracks would be closed, the platforms cordoned off… and perhaps even a large part of the station!

As we filed through the Forbidden City in Beijing, off to one side I notice this business like muscle machine and had to have a photo.
The Pontiac GTO, often considered the first true muscle car, became an instant legend with its powerful V8 engine and bold design. With its iconic “GTO” badge, the car represented a new era of performance and set the stage for the muscle car movement.
Fun Fact: The GTO stands for “Gran Turismo Omologato,” a nod to its heritage as a high-performance homologation model.

That's one seriously muscle-bound insect! By comparison, humans have just 629 muscles in a considerably larger body.
The caterpillar's head capsule alone consists of 248 individual muscles, and about 70 muscles control each body segment. Remarkably, each of the 4,000 muscles is innervated by one or two neurons.
Caterpillars have 12 eyes.
On each side of its head, a caterpillar has 6 tiny eyelets, called stemmata, arranged in a semi-circle. One of the 6 eyelets is usually offset a bit, and located closer to the antennae. You would think an insect with 12 eyes would have excellent eyesight, but that's not the case. The stemmata serve merely to help the caterpillar differentiate between light and dark. If you watch a caterpillar, you'll notice it sometimes moves its head from side to side. This most likely helps it judge depths and distances.
