A equipa EM'Força esteve em massa na edição de 2015 da Corrida Montepio. Com mais de três dezenas de atletas a vestirem a camisola Mágica da SPEM - Sociedade Portuguesa de Esclerose Múltipla nesta prova - ora a correr os 10 quilómetros ora a caminhar os 5 da distância mais curta -, a solidariedade foi o mote desta manhã de domingo.
Com muitas histórias para partilhar entre os nossos atletas e por entre conquistas, tempos record e muita alegria, esta equipa exibiu mais uma vez a sua solidariedade que tão bem nos identifica.
São também de destacar as duas conquistas por atletas com Esclerose Múltipla: ambos nos 10 quilómetros, o nosso José Martins e a nossa LuÃsa Matias somaram mais uma bela conquista por eles e por todos os doentes com Esclerose Múltipla.

Davis, MD, Robert C. Borwell professor of neurology, Rush University, and acting director of the Rush Multiple Sclerosis Center (right) fit a patient with an experimental cooling garment.
The cooling garment pictured was designed by NASA and used to screen a patient’s temperature sensitivity.
Dr. Davis found that some multiple sclerosis patients benefited from exposure to cool temperatures.

The helicopters were a common sighting on our trip coming in to bring goods or aid or to evacuate climbers.

We were so lucky- the day we climbed Kala Patthar was perfectly clear, not a cloud in the sky and you could see the mountains all around us for miles.

A flock of sheep in West Lothian have turned orange to celebrate MS Week 2012 (30 April – 6 May). They have been given the coat of animal-friendly paint by farmer Andrew Jack to help raise awareness of multiple sclerosis in Scotland.
