Sekolah Otonom Sanggar Anak Akar menempatkan multimedia sebagai salah satu fak mata pelajaran. Tujuan pembelajaran multimedia tidak sekadar memperkenalkan pemahaman teoritik dan teknis pemanfaatan sebagai pemakai (user), melainkan memberikan kesempatan pada setiap anak untuk belajar mengembangkan kecintaan dan kemampuannya menguasai teknologi multimedia baik sebagai produk maker maupun sebagai programer. Salah satu priogram belajar multimedia selama ini menjadi perhatian Sanggar Anak Akar adalah kelas audiovisual atau film video.
Untuk tahun ini kelas multimedia akan fokus pada belajar menguasai teknologi pembuatan filem video. Materi belajar meliputi pengembangan kemampuan menguasai berbagai unsur dalam pembvuatan filem dari mulai manajemen produksi, produki yang meliputi pembuatan script, penguasaan penggunaan alat/kamera, penyutradaraan, pengisian suara, dan editing. Peserta kelas akan diprioritaskan untuk anak-anak yang berusia di atas 15 tahun atau peserta kelas tahun kedua di Sekolah Otonom.
