Schöne neue Woche! Lasst euch die letzte Woche nicht stressen.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday Season and are ready to put 2021 behind us. Tough year and it will be an easy one to forget.
That being said, I have plenty to be thankful for and for all I do have I am grateful. To all my flickr friends and contacts, new and old, I appriciate your support this past year and for that I am very thankful. WRT the world at large, together we can wish for the end of COVID being the dominant headline in the news, peace, health and prosperity for 2022. It just has to be a better year.

Just to be clear, this is a real shot, made from a single image with a 0.6s exposure and a tad bit of camera movement shot with the Meyer Optik 50mm f/1.8 Oreston shot wide open. The Oreston is perfect for a theme like this as it produces the cleanest/defined bokeh of all my lenses. I hope this abstract brings a bit of a smile to welcome in 2022!!!
Thanks to all members for your companionship during 2021. I look forward to all your images in 2022. Here's hoping that the upcoming year continues to improve for all of us.

What a fun way to start the new year with a smile! I took my closest (30mm) macro lens and kept it out of focus on some assorted Xmas decorations by the window ... and had some fun with bokeh balls.

These Two Angels by Willow Tree are presenting gifts, a bright star from one and a butterfly that is being set free by the other. Using a christmas tapestry as a backdrop to create some hexogonal bubble bokeh. The tapestry is of a wintry village scene from "days gone by"... think Little House on the Prairie with snow, horse and cart and christmas trees.

The pretty in pink Rose in the evening light after a 38 degrees C day. Reminds me of the Edith Piaf song - La vie en Rose.
Happy New Year. While the edges of this rose have been crisped in the sun the bush is doing well.
