Well hey, when it's as hot as it is in St Maarten, you wear as little clothes as you can - especially on the beach! Patricia may have gone too far here...

... so I'm trying to bring out some energy with this picture from my holiday in February!

Mullet Bay, St Maarten, Dutch Caribbean

I was here a few days ago and it was sunny and warm. Today I am back home and it's freezing and rainy. The photo was taken from a Hi-Speed Glass Bottom boat, one of only ten in the world. My entry for 114 pictures in 2014 Something Warm

This beach had the clearest water of any of the beaches we went to. The lack of waves keeps the sand from stirring up.

Well, okay. I have a lot of happy places. This is just ONE of my favorite beaches on ONE of my favorite islands in ONE of my favorite places in the world. Mullet Bay in St Maarten, Caribbean.

Perfect beach day at one of the nicest beaches on the island.

Urchin skeletons stacked on top of each other on the tropical beach located on St. Maarten, The Caribbean.

The first time we walked down to Mullet Bay beach my sister's daughter shouted right away. "Mom, the water here is like from a movie!" And she was absolutely right. Not much to see under the surface though; only the odd fish.

Some stormy weather on the horizon, though we had fantastic weather everywhere we went.

Mullet Beach

This is an older picture from 2004 when we visited St. Martin - this was such a perfect beach, and we visited it again this year...

I never saw this tree with full foliage, It just never gets a break from the salty tradewinds. However, the way it's branches are split down to the base and its weird foliage makes this a interesting scene.

Located on the Dutch side. They say this is one of the prettiest beaches in St-Maarten but my favorite ones were Le Gallion & Dawn Beach. But in all fairness you can't go wrong...they are all beautiful with their own uniqueness.
