Muhammad Ali is generally considered to be the greatest heavyweight boxer in the history of the sport. Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, his birth name was Cassius Marcellus Clay but changed his name when he converted to Islam. His fights with Joe Frazier and George Forman are considered some of the greatest fights in the history of the sport. He died on June 3, 2016 from the complications of Parkinson's disease and is resting here in one of the more secluded spot in Cave Hill Cemetery.

This cemetery is named for Muhammad Sultan Pasha (1825-1884) who was among Egypt's provincial elite of local leaders, nicknamed the King of Upper Egypt.
Muhammad Sultan Pasha Omda settled in Egypt after migrating from the Hijaz. Because of his generosity (he built the first school, and a mosque), the village is named after him as is the cemetery where he built his family mausoleum in 1860, designed by French architects and engineers. He became president of Egypt's Chamber of Deputies and came to have great influence over rural leaders. He died in Austria after traveling to Europe to seek medical treatment.
His remarkable daughter, Nur al-Hoda Shaarawi (Hoda Sha'rawi) 1879-1947, was a driving force for women's rights in Egypt, and is also buried in his burial complex.
