Pakistani men are bringing their bulls to compete in the traditional bulls racing event on February 20, 2014, which was held in Gali Malal village in the town of Talagang, some 248 kilometers from Islamabad, Pakistan. Bull race is a traditional sport of rural areas of Pakistan. Some 200 pair of bulls from different rural areas of Pakistan participated in the annual race which is being organised for the past 26 years. During the race bulls run in pair, yoked together with heavy wooden frames called "joots", the jockey rides behind on a metal or wooden tray attached to the yoke by a rope. The bulls and jockey cover almost 500 yards to reach the finish-line and the fastest ones are the winners. In Pakistan, usually bulls are used for farming, cultivation and transport but a racing bull needs especial care and training. The bull owners especially train these bulls for the race. The price of a racing bull costs between 1000 to 4000 US$.Photo by Muhammad Reza

Muhammad Yunus (Bengali: মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস; born 28 June 1940) is a Bangladeshi social entrepreneur, banker, economist and civil society leader who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for founding the Grameen Bank and pioneering the concepts of microcredit and microfinance. These loans are given to entrepreneurs too poor to qualify for traditional bank loans. In 2006, Yunus and the Grameen Bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize "for their efforts through microcredit to create economic and social development from below". The Norwegian Nobel Committee noted that "lasting peace cannot be achieved unless large population groups find ways in which to break out of poverty" and that "across cultures and civilizations, Yunus and Grameen Bank have shown that even the poorest of the poor can work to bring about their own development".Yunus has received several other national and international honours. He received the United States Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009 and the Congressional Gold Medal in 2010.
In 2008, he was rated #2 in Foreign Policy magazine's list of the 'Top 100 Global Thinkers'.

Official vehicles are parked as clouds of white smoke rises on the sky after clashes erupted between policemen and thousands of anti-government protesters of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) of a fiery preacher Tahir-ul-Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) of Imran Khan on August 31, 2014, in Islamabad, Pakistan. Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets on anti-government protesters attempting to storm Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's official residence. Thousands of supporters of opposition leader Imran Khan and populist cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri have been camped outside parliament since August 15 demanding Sharif quit, claiming the election which swept him to power last year was rigged.
