This dam is located at the Grootvlei Dam, in the far east of the Kruger National Park and close to the border with Mozambique. It was well filled in autumn 2022. The picture was completely different in February 2024, more mud than water and yet there were plenty of elephants here at lunchtime. Some were drinking, others were playing around and the bulls were sneaking around the herds.....

Wet, dirty and wonderful Mighty Mud Mania in Scottsdale. Kids of all ages run through a mud filled obstacle course. The Mighty Mud Mania is in its 39th year.
390117 “Blue Peter” was derailed after running into a mud-slide in Shap Cutting while working 1R22, Avanti West Coast’s 0428 Glasgow – Euston on 3 November 2025.
Rerailed and dragged back to Carlisle on 4 November where the bogie of the fifth coach (TS 65317) was photographed.
Nach einem schweren Unwetter kam es 2008 in Wolfsölden (Affalterbach, Kreis Ludwigsburg) zu einem Erdrutsch.
Die Ausmaße werden auf diesem Bild recht deutlich.
Das Technische Hilfswerk Ludwigsburg war im Einsatz um die Erdmassen aus einem Bachbett zu entfernen.

Mud Hero 2015.
Martock Ski Hill Nova Scotia.
Over 30 members of 5th Canadian Division partook in the 2015 Mud Hero challenge at Ski Martock near Windsor, Nova Scotia, on 4 July 2015. The physically and mentally demanding competition acted as a fun training tool for Atlantic Canada’s soldiers to enhance their personal fitness and camaraderie with their local community. .

The 2015 Mud Hero challenge saw participants traverse 16 obstacles over 6 km including a cargo net climb, running over teeter totters, and crawling through tunnels and mud pits. This was the third year of the Mud Hero challenge took place in Nova Scotia which saw over 4,000 participants. .

This page turned into mud, so from there I piled on some paint marker left over from the Strathmore workshop (not effective on the watercolor paper BTW), white gel pen and ink. Less really is more, but more really is fun! :-)
