Valeria just nodded when she read about today's theme.

"Yes, I think I can come up with something."

She found an old M-Tron suit and some even older train couplings, and asked her gimp to model for her. again.

For those unfamiliar with Lego history: M-Tron was a theme from the 90s, where magnets were introduced in the space theme. Before that, magnets had only been used as train couplings, like the blue one in the back of the gimp.

I am not very familiar with the theme, because I had stopped playing with Lego a decade earlier. Most of my toys were in the hands of my nieces and nephews.

Shady Bargain

Hej, wanna buy this old koffee grinder handle? I happened to find it... in someone's kitchen. Totally legal, believe me! You can trust these eyes!

Just silly me, trying to make some joke on the similarity of handle and Handel.

Revisit of a build I did two years ago. Be sure to check out the blueprints. Enjoy!

Although this was a free build, the finished model bears some resemblance to 6896 Celestial Forager.

Made for the New Elementary spacer's parts challenge, and like some of my other MOC's this week, it utilises the Nexo Sheilds and Nexo robot torso parts for suspended front and dual rear axles.

Our tour continues...

Well folks, our tour is nearing its conclusion, I hope you-- oh wait, look, there is an M-Tron scout team, no doubt looking for deposits of Magnetonium. It seems to be growing more and more scarce all throughout the galaxy. I wonder what will become of the M-Tron corporation if all the Magnetonium runs out?

The MagnePulse Xcelerator is M-Tron's latest development in magnetic technology, an incredibly fast spacecraft featuring two large magnetic repulsion engines and a detachable cockpit that can serve as a rover. The rover is attached via magnets and seats one pilot and either a passenger or a cargo crate. The cockpit has a vertical panoramic window that also functions as the front wheel of the rover.

If you need to investigate that newly-discovered space anomaly quickly (before Blacktron gets there) that you need this ship!

The final of the set of three! This is actually the one that started the series, and is still my fave. Something about a mech holding giant gripper arms is super fun. Replicating the minifig's power arms was a nice challenge as well, with Dots bracelets coming to the rescue for the flexible cabling(?) Enjoy :)

More angles are on my Instagram if you're interested!

Another entry for the Roguebricks JahresChellenge. This time one of my all-time favorite themes M-Tron. It manly based on the Particle Ioniser (6923) from 1990. I am not completely satisfied with it because I couldn’t integrate the cargo main idea, or even some magnets. So, it turns more out like a scout ship then a cargo one. 😅

The pad is mainly inspired by this one by Filler Brick.

A planetary base captain is very fond of his priceless china from Earth. He takes it with him whenever he moves bases, which is not uncommon. A specialized rover had to be designed to safely transport the china from the rocket to the base.

Tiny wheels! I thought they can't can't become any samller than this, but who knows?

Captain Simon Lou has been tasked with a most daunting mission, to spy on the M-tron mining activity on Zosma 4! Tensions between the Federation and the M-tron Corporation have been high ever since the great magnet embargo of 2253. Simon and his crew are also checking to see that all galactic laws and regulations are being upheld. M-tron has been more than willing to over-exploit the most pristine of environments in order to satisfy their insatiable desire for more magnets. Hopefully their reconnaissance equipment won't give away their concealed position on the cliff side!

Really had fun with this one! ;) More space creations on the way!

Two rovers today. I wanted to use that old M-Tron chassis, and wanted the rover to have those long, floppy arms. Didn't fit together, so I made a second one.

Toy Project Day 3486

It's been a while, but circumstances finally allowed for a bit of building again. I found out about mechtober a week late, so there's only three of these guys. Still, it was nice to start out with some smaller projects where you just have to say "it's done" after a week.

Toy Project Day 2022

The "Ice Planet" theme would probably be better with snow and cold but since I was a child I always thought that the "Mtron" were that faction that went to look for minerals in the various worlds and I re-proposed the "Mtron" themselves and made them current for the Hibernia theme (which I'm crazy about).

Here is my Drone MTR "One", Vector and his vehicle for land exploration on Hibernia

Third iteration of this ship. Latest changes based on feedback I've received. A little less rough edges. Testing Wicked Brick stand for the first time.

Keen eyed observers might have noticed that Llwyngwril Systems never seem to have made anything for the M-Tron community. After long research in the dusty archives, we can now reveal this ancient image.

The photo shows an M-Tron driver standing outside his Fish rover. The reason that he is standing outside the rover is because the designers got so excited by creating its shape, they forgot to check if a person would fit inside. After this debacle, M-Tron never awarded another contract to Llwyngwril Systems again.

The Blacktron guy has a turmeric stained visor and a little kraggle going on. The M:Tron guy’s visor was supposed to come out transparent neon green with the use of pipe leak dye. It didn’t work at all, however I managed to stain a ceramic bowl in the process. The panel on the M:Tron vehicle is just a misprint. The Futuron vehicle has classic space stickers. They are made by an AFOL named Richard Roebuck in the UK and they are pretty decent. The tiles on the Blacktron vehicle are printed by a third party company. You can find them on eBay.

When I'm low on ideas, I always like to break out a new version of the classic MTron Beacon Tracer.

Enjoy!

Whether you need to get new energocrystals for work or take your girl to holiday - this is you daily spaceship.

Although the Ladybug is a compact design, it is equipped with powerful sensor array, ordinary and FTL engines, cargo ramp and utility vehicle. In the interior you find facilities for long travels.

I always wanted a "personal" spaceship with proper equipment and a sleek shape, that would take care of its crew on long missions. I had thad brick-built M_Tron logo on my table for some time and finally, this is where it ended. The U.F.O. panels pretty much dictate the shape and also Ebon Hawk (SW:KotOR) was on my mind when I was drawing the sketches.

This manufacturing facility on M:Tron Corporation's remote home world manufactures the magnet boxes that the brave M:Tron astronauts use to harvest trans-neon-green elements. Built over 2 years, this model took an estimated 3,000 hours to create. The base is 40 x 60 inches, or 128 x 192 studs. I estimate that it contains about 100,000 pieces.

This model was first revealed at Brickfair Virginia, 2014.

There comes a time when every Lego fan submits a project to Lego Ideas. For me, that time has come!

I would really appreciate your vote so that this build might one day become a real set:

This build got a lot of nice comments on Flickr, Reddit and Instagram so I decided to make it into a Lego Ideas submission. It's very difficult for non movie or TV based projects to gather enough support on there, so I'm attempting to buck the trend of IP Ideas!

I couldn't help but make reference to M:Tron and Blacktron in this build, and hopefully new trans-yellow parts would be a nice side effect of this project being made. Unfortunately modern magnet pieces are rather bulky because of a change in the law, so that part might need a bit of refining. G and H are mine and my fiancée's initials; so the project has a little extra personal resonance for me too! More photos to come over the coming days.

"Pilot H and Pilot G were two of the bravest explorers the Federation had ever known. Working together as an inseparable team, they had flown to the farthest reaches of the galaxy in their Bubble Scout ships, discovering distant star systems, retrieving valuable artefacts, whilst always evading the rogues living at the edge of the Galaxy."

Even aliens take night shifts once in a blue moon.

Happy FebRovery!

M:TRON Runabout

These were used to quickly scan large areas for deposits of Magnetonium and collect samples before larger equipment would move in. A speedy little rover with great suspension, it was very popular among M:Tron workers. They were delighted when assigned runabout duties.

So, yesterday I finally got to take a model that I'd made into a Lego Store (The London Shepherds Bush Westfield store), where it's going to be displayed for three whole months. It's at the very back left, next to the Pick a Brick wall.

Suffice to say, I'm very excited, and feel like a real AFOL now.

More photos are in the M:TRON Ship vignette album.

After building the rover I wanted to use my remaining roller coaster tracks for some sort of M-Tron outpost. This loading station was the result.

The crane can slide back and forth along the rail at top, and swivel to easily load or unload the containers.

My first ever Febrovery submission, I enjoyed building something classic(ish) space themed again!

Hello,

I've previously built some Neo classic space , Blacktron , Space police , that was time to explore M-tron theme

The 2 big red parts are Duplo crane cabin

The problem was that I could not fix any type of bricks under one of these because it was terribly used . I had to used the inside to start building the frame of the starfighter

SAMSUNG 64GB SSD with Mac Book Black

Normally when I'm done with a MOC, I'm not eager to revisit it, mostly because I'm so weary of it that I just want to be working on something different. However, I could not resist the temptation to reskin the Cargo Critter in M:Tron livery. It's not quite identical to the original--it's modified to carry two M:Tron magnet boxes instead of the sand-green crate that the original carries--and I had to significantly change internals of the top middle area to get those M:Tron logos in there.
