It is clear that the summer of 2014 is slipping away. We're getting cold nights and cool, damp days. The fawns are losing their spots and a black bear recently showed up at the feeders. Yikes! But, according to the calendar, it's still summer. I, for one, intend to drink it in, right down to the dregs.
P.S. I'm hoping someone will help me identify this flower. It was planted here before I moved in and I have no idea what it is.
P.S. 2 -Thanks to all who tried to help me identify this plant. I have been able to find the plant tag that was left here by the previous owner. The flower is Ligularia dentata Desdemona, a variety of Ragwort. Click this link to see photos of the whole plant.

We were approached by Mozilla to create a whole host of characters and other images to be used around their 2010 Summit, currently taking place in Whistler. The characters are cropping up in all sorts of places!

Shot on Kodak TMAX 400 (TMY-2) B&W Film with a Fujica GW690 medium format (6x9) camera.
Developed with Kodak D-76 (1:1) at 65 degrees for 13.5 minutes.
Fixed with Kodak Fixer for 15 minutes.
Digitized with a Canon Canoscan 9000F MkII scanner at 9600 dpi, then processed in Adobe Photoshop and scaled down to 4800 dpi.
Finished in Adobe Lightroom CC.
i've mentioned before that i shouldn't be left unattended with a camera. what i didn't mention is that i also have frequent bouts of insomnia.

With the launch of Firefox 3, Mozilla's website gets a major facelift. The focus on typography and the simple header/navigation bar are wonderful, as are the beatifully drawn graphics in the background and on subsequent pages.
