I rolled into town on Labor Day, so my new apartment office was closed. So my old skydiving buddy Donna put me up for the night at her new pad so I could scrub down and get a good night's sleep.
A little earlier, around 9:00am, after stopping for a muffin and some really bad coffee in Bakersfield, Texas, I ran into pea soup thick fog (very cool, I love fog). The rest of my drive into Texas had lots of clouds like this too.

Reggie helped me finish packing all my stuff into my tiny trailer (it was quite a job, d'oh), and I'm off and starting my really long drive on the I-10 about 30 minutes after fueling up and hitting the Loop 101 in Scottsdale.

I stopped to shoot some photos for a Quicktime VR 360 at exit 55 in New Mexico on I-10.
After taking my shots for the QTVR I noticed the sunset was looking pretty amazing and snapped some shots of that too. I love sunsets.

In addition to some cool fog I ran into some sprinkling rain for quite a while. I had only seen rain like twice the whole time I was in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Woo.

Evening is in front of me, and sunset is behind me in the rear view mirror. I really should have had the sense to use the digital camera instead of my mobile phone for this. D'oh.

About 3 hours and 45 minutes into my drive back to Austin and so far so good. The old bucket is dragging the trailer along at 55 to 60 mph on cruise control and doing well. Woo?
