Faux painted card stock and 1/2in. foam board. I painted this for demonstration purposes for a Materials and Props class I taught at FIDM.
Collaborative project for the Disney Family Museum. Randy Hage and Paula Pasic. Designed to display 1/12th scale furniture made by Walt Disney. Furniture was used for mock up designs for the movie "So Dear to My Heart" Granny's Cabin.

Ms. Direct is showing off her "first" outfit here & it is all superhero.
She features a shaved head on both sides, not evenly though but it is pretty close to a mohawk. For this superhero getup, it is flipped to this side where all the colors are showing. The large gold glasses is just a front, they clip onto the full glasses shown in the other photo.

She looks like she has short hair but it is actually longer, it is just really curled up in the back. I brushed it out & it really curled up.
I love when these dolls have rings, takes me back to my 70s & 80s barbies when many had rings.
I have to address the colors. None of the colors are the same, particularly the pinks (dress, shoes, skirt & even the fur lining). It really bothers me that her shoes do not match anything, at least to me they dont. I think silver might have been a better choice (earrings are silver) but hey, what do I know?
Another interesting thing is her dress actually has a crotch in it, which I find strange. It is too loose to be like hot pants.
Now we get to my most favorite thing, this jacket!! It has a freaking working tiny zipper!!! This is the first zipper in an OMG doll. I about fell on the floor when I saw it was a working zipper & it is incredibly tiny. I fear too much use will cause it to break, I wonder how long it will take for kids to break it.
Another thing about this doll that I love, besides the fact she sports my favorite color, is the little ray gun!! I never saw it in the stock pics, it is there but it blends in & I just didnt notice it. It is so cute & she holds it perfectly. Her little alien glasses are so cool too. Oh, yeah, her silver hot pants, omg! She is so fierce in this outfit!! She is in complete cosplay here & I bet someone will make this costume in real life for a comic con or something.

It doesn't make logical sense that the effects used to make a movie 24 years ago are leaps and bounds better than a movie made today. Our technology is advancing, yet it's making the art worse. CG-WHY??

this was a great show. The Yasuyuki Inoue (井上泰幸) show at MOT (Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo). Inoue, who I never knew of before was a production designer, concept artist on many 60's kaiju tokusatsu movies. He worked in the industry up to the 90’s! Tons of storyboards, creature design and set concept art!
