MoveOn.org organized emergency Oil Spill Vigils across the country on June 8, 2010 -- the 50th day since the spill began.

50 people attended the vigil in Hamden where they demanded real solutions from Washington, including a plan to end our addiction to oil by transitioning to clean energy; showed solidarity with the people of the Gulf region; and helped raise money to meet the needs of the immediate crisis.

Several members of MoveOn from Palm beach County met at Congressman Robert Wexler's office to deliver a petition and a message. As it is now, Barack Obama is weighing the extent of support for a program and is evaluating the extent to which it may be compromised by maximizing tax breaks for the already wealthy in order to gain conservative support. We oppose these compromises.

When the time comes, you just have to move on.

Life won't be waiting for you, it will pass before you notice...

Moveon.org organized a demonstration in front of the York County Victory Headquarters. To bad only five folks showed up. MoveOn looked bad compared to the 45 volunteers who were there! They subsequently retreated across the parking lot, then across the street to hold on their undiscernable sign.
