Taken this photo at Mount Faber looking across the commercial and residential buildings, harbor and the sea.
I met this cat on Mount Faber in Singapore. We were actually two photographers taking photos of it at the same time, so it's no wonder this little accidental model got tired!
We like to ask "Why..." when we were young. We search for the answer when we grow and we tell the answer when we gets old. It's a process, It's life.
Visit this bridge twice. I have a question. Why they build this. To show architecture advance?; To link the 2 parks? To serve as a viewing point? Well, it is definitely not a shelter. [Henderson Waves, 11 April 2009, 2.30pm]
I've spent 2 months in Singapore in 2016 and 2017 respectively, but I still haven't tried the cable cars! Here's at least a shot I grabbed while meandering on Mount Faber.
One White-throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis), with bright blue (almost turquoise) plumage and a long beak.
It was a raining and overcast day so I decided to stay at home and observe my colorful neighbors. Ha! They were all perched on the trees branches and almost moody.

Um Martin Pescadorda garganta-branca (Halcyon smyrnensis), com plumagem azul luminoso (quase turquesa) e um bico longo.
Foi um dia chuvoso e nublado então, decidi permanecer em casa e observar os meus vizinhos coloridos. Ha! Estavam todos empoleirados nos galhos das árvores e quase tristonhos.

Tourism in Singapore is a major industry and is the 5th most visited city in the world. Along with this, it also has one of the world's lowest crime rates. Public transport is easy when visiting Singapore. This includes the well-known Mass Rapid Transit system. MRT trains are fully automated without driver! Singapore is a green and clean city. It is also full of natural attractions and cultural heritage sites, from botanic gardens and nature parks to temples and museums. At 36 metres above ground, the Henderson Waves bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five-kilometer hiking trail that takes you through three major parks. The Henderson Waves connects two parks with each other. Aside from being able to observe a rich variety of tropical flora and fauna, a walk on the Ridges and Mount Faber also affords you some stunning views of the island. The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five-kilometer hiking trail that takes you through three major parks: Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. From Mount Faber the Singapore cable car provides an aerial link to the popular island resort of Sentosa. Each cabin is suspended approx. sixty meters above the sea. The entire ride takes only twelve minutes. The cable car provides great views of the Sentosa island, Siloso beach and mainland Singapore. If there is a cruise ship standing on the day, you do get a great of that as well. The water around Sentosa is clean enough for swimming, but don’t expect it to be crystal clear. As Singapore is one of the world’s busiest ports, there are dozens of cargo ships and tankers on the horizon.
From mount Faber you can take the Cable car to the Sentosa Island. The lines of the cable car network, Mount Faber and Sentosa, pass through all the stunning and iconic sights of Singapore. You can get a bird’s eye view of the picturesque beaches and harbor as well as Singapore attractions and theme parks. Siloso Beach is surrounded by many of Sentosa’s top attractions, iFly Skydiving, Wings of Time audio-visual show, Madame Tussauds wax museum, and Sentosa 4D Adventureland are just some of the things you can do close by. After dark, Siloso beach really comes alive, with parties, music, lively bars and restaurants. Siloso beach is a man-made beach. From Mount Faber you have a beautiful view on the harbor and Bukit Merah. Singapore is ranked as the top maritime capital of the world. There are some very nice developments at the foothill of Mount Faber. Mostly are owned by private developers and cost slightly more because of the prime location and city view. Majority of the flats have three or four rooms. Also, 25% are flats for rental.

It all was leading to the establishment of the British colony of Singapore in 1819. The port was strategically located along the main trade route between India and China. Singapore became an independent republic in 1965. Nowadays the country has become one of the world's most prosperous nations, with a highly developed free market economy and strong international trading links. Tourism in Singapore is a major industry and is the 5th most visited city in the world. Along with this, it also has one of the world's lowest crime rates. Public transport is easy when visiting Singapore. This includes the well-known Mass Rapid Transit system. MRT trains are fully automated without driver! Singapore is a green and clean city. It is also full of natural attractions and cultural heritage sites, from botanic gardens and nature parks to temples and museums. From Mount Faber the Singapore cable car provides an aerial link to the popular island resort of Sentosa. Each cabin is suspended approx. sixty meters above the sea. The entire ride takes only twelve minutes. The cable car provides great views of the Sentosa island and mainland Singapore. If there is a cruise ship standing on the day, you do get a great of that as well.

We rarely get this kind of sunbeams-poking-through-clouds effect back home in Sweden. On the other hand, I shoot a lot of sun stars at home, but I wasn't able to catch a single one in Singapore. I guess it might have something to do with how close to the equator you are?
