I was returning from a wedding and watching the amazing sky as it was developing and was very late getting to somewhere to catch the last of it. Anyway still fantastic colours as the sun dropped out of sight.

This was all just frustrating. It was the kind of road that I could probably have done, but maybe not for 100 miles. And then, after struggling over washes and blocks, to have to turn around and do it all over again - it was just too much of a challenge for me at the time.

Captured on the drive home somewhere near Alicante. Not bad really considering we were moving at about 80 mph.

A church right next to a motorway in Limassol (Lemesos), Cyprus.

That would be when the M25 is running as a motorway should be and not living up to it's name as the world's biggest car park !!

Yup , these cars are coming towards Junction 9 and are free flowing with no restrictions - which can be a very rare happening , so often when looking at Google Maps the road is so often red or even black !!

A wee tune to give you all a laugh - yes it is the M4 , but still brilliant !!

but it is necessary to keep the country moving, although it doesn't look pretty...

86103 "Andre Chapelon" heads north through the Lune Gorge on the 23rd April 1988. Given that this was taken on a Saturday afternoon the M6 looks very quiet!
