It was impossible for the AF to track the bikes across the backlight as the bright light screwed up the autofocus each time. But I got this one right where I wanted it!
I had been wanting to stop at the Three Palms motocross track for a while now and finally did today. Captured some decent shots and will definitely be going back. Pretty exciting to watch these guys up close!

As you can see when the original, 30-year-old set is put next to my update, I have - in this case - been quite faithful to the original design. The shape of the car is the same, it has an opening bonnet (hood), tinted windows, a white hardtop, narrow headlights, a trailer with smooth mudguards, a blue motorcycle (with the number 3), and the drivers both have black helmets and S-patterned racing suits.
