Colour film rolled shot developed and scanned today (LOVE doing my own processing!)
With Sophie using my new Leica M4-P
I rewound the film to reload on location and the film had ripped mid roll resulting in a light leak to half the film but surrprisingly I only lost a couple of frames. This shot was close to the film break so not a full frame.

I didn't bother cleaning up the scan.. I love the authentic look from the light leak

Being on a roll (pardon the pun!) with my Kodak motion film shooting I dug out a CineStill 50D photo which is basically the same as Kodak Vision3 50D 5203 (with remjet removed).
Considering this is 35mm half frame scan the fine grain size is crazy!

When I shot my first roll of CineStill 50D I was unsure about the colours but I think I like it more now.. it looks non-digital so can only be good!

Processed in ECN-2 kit chemistry, bit on the dense side, need more starter, once it gets going and replenished it'll be great.
Very nice film.
50D is able to pull out subtle colours and changes in very flat light.

First photos taken using film from my 400ft bulk roll of Kodak Eastman Double-X 5222
It's so nice to work with B&W film again. Processing is so fast without colour correction! :)

I recently had this roll of film scanned. I took it to the same place I had my Renaissance Faire photos done. But this time I had a high resolution scan made. They were done on a TIF file, which I reduced to JPEG and tweaked on Photoshop, reducing the size to that which I normally use to post here.
An old friend from college was in L.A. in '83, and he wanted to take in the Universal Studios Tour. I took along my SLR at the time (a Vivitar 400/SL, loaded with Eastman 5293, rated at ASA 250, but could be rated at ASA 500 without pushing). For this I think I rated it at 250 and went with normal processing.
I have several shots of this show. Some of them were blurry, due to the fact that I used a slow shutter speed (about 1/15 of a second), and shooting wide open with my 50mm lens. This is from the second roll, which I had scanned primarily for this shot. I will get the first roll scanned sometime soon.

An EE and EE-2. The EE works okay, but the EE-2, which I acquired recently, doesn't; the shutter works, but it seems at the lower speed only, plus the aperture doesn't change and the red flag doesn't activate in low light. Love the counter dial on these though*.
*03/30/2022 Update: Managed to get the EE-2 working; cleaned aperture blades, electronics came back to life on its own it seems, and camera automatically exposes correctly. Red flag also works and flash too.

Investing in film..
I decided to buy Kodak Eastman Double-X 5222 as my B&W film to bulk load. It can easily be shot at ISO 100-800 without any effort and i'm sure it will go to 1600 easily. Impressive stuff!
I will use a 35mm bulk film loader and cut the Kodak motion picture down to use in my Leica cameras as I do with Kodak Vision3 colour films.

I really wasn't feeling the first Vision3 colour photo scan I posted this morning but I thought I better share something.. the last post I was starting to almost like.. and now i'm loving these colours/tones.. very happy! :)

My first home developed C41 film! I wish I had done it sooner. More precise than my B&W developing but still do-able. Bulk loaded Kodak Vision3 500T 5219 film and a test shoot with Alex last week.

I just stumbled across this from Poland last December.. I like it and the grain is much less than I remember 800T being.. makes me even more excited to develop some of my Kodak Vision3 500T movie film (same stuff just with RemJet layer still on)
