Edição é trabalho de doido! Passamos mais de 12 horas por dia sentados na frente do computador montando e remontando um quebra-cabeças que já existe em nossas mentes. O ar-condicionado sempre no 17, a cadeira que nunca é confortável, a câimbra, o olho que não pisca e eu, que não sei usar tecla de atalho, fico com o dedo doendo de tanto clicar no mouse.

Não sei o que é mais terrível: editar um trabalho pessoal onde você persegue a perfeição, mesmo sabendo que nunca irá achá-la – mesmo assim você insiste e, inconscientemente, grava todos os time-codes do material bruto que dá mais ou menos umas 15 fitas de 60 minutos – ou, se você edita coisa para os outros, um material cheio de potencial que se finaliza pobremente com um festival de fusões e imagens em slow motion.

No entanto, nada é pior (ou melhor, do ponto de vista dos amantes do cafezinho-xixizinho-conversinha) do que o “TEMPO DO RENDER” também conhecido como writing video. Nessa hora não tem jeito, temos que esperar, enrolar o cliente (naqueles casos em que você não tem paciência para explicar os processos digitais da masterização e por quê @#$%* você parou de trabalhar). Vamos dar uma volta. Tem casos mais críticos onde a pessoa fica acompanhando os porcentos, a barrinha verde que caminha lentamente, irritante…

Tem os casos em que a máquina “dá pau” e você perde tudo, tem a tragédia do “não salvar” – nesse caso, nem Jesus salva, só mesmo “Ctrl + S”.
