Macro Mondays theme: Motion Blur
I took over 600 photos this week of various things and while I got some interesting shots, NONE of them really screamed motion blur. This one whispered "these are the days of our lives" and told me to get on with it.

Yes, another hummingbird shot! lol, There were at least three birds going back and forth from the trees to the flowers so I took advantage of their cooperation this day. Hope I don't bore you with so many! : )
Those days I've been trying the Orton-effect, a technique developed by the photographer Michael Orton. His art is stunning and I'll keep on trying...
You spin me around... well not me, the record on my turntable. I am not getting out to locations with my camera at the moment as I am pre-occupied with other things.
Don't get me wrong, I love photography - however I have two other hobbies that trump it.... every time! I am a bit busy with both other hobbies right now although one of them will tail off a bit next month so I hope to have some time freed up to do a bit of landscape, and then it will be early wake ups (yawn) I am not a morning person.
Anyway this is to keep my hand in and my mind at least semi-sharp with this image which was lit up with flash to highlight that beautiful blue Rega Elys 2 cartridge whilst at the same time creating some motion blur on the spinning record.

Since my shutter speed was too high to produce this much background blur, I added some motion blur in post processing.
The top slide of a tenor trombone sliding out, or in photography lens speak, it would be tromboning!
This was taken right outside the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London. It’s a while since I’ve done any panning but this is a perfect location as there is a constant flow of cyclists flying around Parliament Square.
