At the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
This cascade was found on the Roaring fork motor trail.
One of our favorite scenic drives in the Smokey Mountains
This was on the explore page at #10!
The Þakgil loop hike was planned to be the hiking pinnacle of my trip to Iceland. Alas, I was too early in the year and the weather so far had been colder than usual. Thus, the trail was still deep in snow in the heights and the markers mostly weren't visible. Better safe than sorry. So I returned halfway and took more photos instead. This is a stitched panorama from one of the rare sunny moments. On top of the mountain, I even had icy rain. Hope you enjoy this view even if you won't find too many landscapes except for glaciers on my account.

From our Christmas Eve walk around Fernworthy Reservoir. There's a lovely section of the walk featuring lots of moss-covered trees like this one.
Another from a recent sunrise shoot at Newcastle South beach, NSW, Australia.
A lack of sunrise color was more than made up for by the presence of the fantastic green moss covering the rocks here!
Hope you like this one too!!!
Thanks for any comments, views or favorites - always very much appreciated!!!
Current family health issues will see me limited in my time spent on flickr; so I apologize in advance if it takes me a little time to reply!!!
Thanks for understanding and hope you all have a terrific day and weekend!!

This is from Deep Creek as well. The lower step of Toms Branch Falls. I pulled out my telephoto lens at the end of getting the vertical compositions I wanted, despite the snickering of the other photographers with their telephotos all hooked up. Seriously, I don't understand the way people look down on you when you have a small lens on doing photography. I shot with a short lens for years, and did just fine :D. So, I finally pull out the big telephoto I have and composed this smaller scene within the entire falls, the termination, showing the water rolling off the rocks like a veil. Not sure if it;s what people wanted to see, but it;s what I got to share with you all :D
