Moss on the tree trunks of the wet forests on the higher section of Mt Climie. Maybe everything this high needs to rug up.
The dappled sunlight on the fern and moss and rocks was lovely. Sat and enjoyed the babbling of the brook. Taken at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Connecticut.

I caught a glimpse of this little roadside rivulet as we were driving by on the Icefields Parkway in the Alberta Rockies. I've never seen anything quite like it - an amazing micro environment of colourlul mosses and lichens.
Day 2/365 This moss really stands out in the morning sunlight. (This is a bit overblown in places, especially on the top l/h corner - would a grad filter have helped?)

I would not like to name what the moss is , but it was still worth getting the shot ( even if it was a major exercise extricating myself out of the tiny corner I had got myself into to take the shot !! ) .
I was just walking around my local area when it wasn't raining and noticed the sunshine coming through the trees and hitting this moss which was on a tree branch. I love how the sun is resting on the top and leaving some shaded areas in the shot.
