Hello everyone, and welcome back to 'This Week in the News'! I got a lot of good stories today for you all so let's get started!
The first story of the week is, as you all may know, the Deadpool trailer came out this week! If you haven't seen it yet, here is the link to the better version of the trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyKWUTwSYAs Oh man, I can not wait for this movie! Behind Batman v. Superman and Civil War, this is one of my most anticipated movies of 2016!
Speaking of Civil War.. There is a rumor going around that the teams of Civil War have been revealed, and here they are:
Team Cap:
Hawkeye
The Falcon
Scarlet Witch
Ant-Man
The Winter Soldier
Team Iron Man:
The Vision
Spider-Man
Black Widow
War Machine
You know, I wouldn't mind if these teams really do come together in the movie because it reflects the comics pretty well! What do you guys think of the two teams?
The next story of the week is that there was a screening for Batman v. Superman this week (a little early, huh?) at Warner Bros and it got STANDING OVATION! It's also being rumored that Warner Bros is going to sign Ben Affleck for his own Batman trilogy because his performance was so great in the movie! Oh man, remember when the movie was supposed to come out this year?! I'm so excited for this film!!
The next story of the week is that Sony Pictures has unveiled new and updated release dates for sixteen films from the studio's 2016 and 2017 slates and here they are:
The 5th Wave [J Blakeson (director); Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson] - 1/15/16

The Lamb - 12/8/17
Animated Spider-Man [Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (writers)] - 7/20/18
Bad Boys 4 - 7/3/19
Jeez, that's a lot of films. Notice that Marvel's Spiderman is on the list, it's shows that it's not just Marvel making the film. So what film on this list are you most excited for?
The next story is we have a description on the visuals of Marvel's Doctor Strange, here, read this:
"Doctor Strange looks dark. Very dark. As in scraping the edge of ‘horror-movie-dark’ and information imparted about the film from Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige, supports this appraisal. According to Feige, the film will have a firm footing in the shadowy world of the occult and supernatural. While we’re not expecting it to be a true blue horror film, but if it could provide as many chills as say Constantine (the TV series, NOT the film), then that would be great. Oh, and Benedict Cumberbatch looks very fetching in his Doctor Strange get-up. Very fetching."
Now some are saying that Doctor Strange is going to be Marvel's Fantasia which sounds fitting for the character. I really want them to go all out with the weirdness of this film and please tie this film to the Quantum Realm that was seen in Ant-Man!
Ok so the next story of the week is that the CW Flash TV series has found it's Wally West. Wally is going to be played by an actor named Keiynan Lonsdale (Insurgent). This is very interesting that there will be 3 speedsters on next the next season! I can't wait to see what they will do!
Alright so the last story is that Fant4stic director Josh Trank basically explains why his movie was so shitty, if you read the tweet above, you see that there was some real big issues behind the scenes of this movie. There are other reports going around that right before shooting this film, Fox cut the movie's budget, thus taking out 3 big action sequences and not finishing some CGI. It was also reported that Fox hijacked the editing bay of this film a month ago and cut out 30 minutes of the film! Oh man, this film was a wreck, hopefully the film has learned it's lesson with this property and treat it right in the future!
Well that’s all for this week, tune in next time for more interesting stories in ‘This Week in the News’! If I missed any stories, please leave them in the comments below and we can talk about them!

“How come nobody’s ever tried to be a superhero?” When Dave Lizewski – ordinary New York teenager and rabid comic-book geek dons a green-and-yellow internet-bought wetsuit to become the no-nonsense vigilante, Kick-Ass, he soon finds an answer to his own question: because it hurts. But, overcoming all the odds, the eager yet inexperienced Dave quickly becomes a phenomenon, capturing the imagination of the public. However, he’s not the only superhero out there – the fearless and highly-trained father-daughter crime-fighting duo, Big Daddy and Hit-Girl have been slowly but surely taking down the criminal empire of local Mafioso, Frank D’Amico. And, as Kick-Ass gets drawn into their no-holds-barred world of bullets and bloodletting with Frank’s son, Chris, now reborn as Kick-Ass’s arch-nemesis, Red Mist - the stage is set for a final showdown between the forces of good and evil - in which the DIY hero will have to live up to his name. Or die trying…
