Just in case anyone was wondering...yes, we have lone trees in Turkey. Sometimes a group of them (if that makes sense), I mean, a large expanse with line trees dotted around. A group of line trees, .... hmmm I'll get a picture next time...that might explain it!

Fantastic rain cloud was running along the English Channel.
Caroline and I chased it as it made its along the coast.
My only hope was that we caught the light behind it...
Government approved walk at sunrise this morning, but it was the sun so much as the massive clouds lit up by the sun.

Greencastle is a castle in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is a royal castle built in the 13th century & had substantial 15th- and 16th-century alterations. The approach to the rectangular keep is across a rock-cut ditch. It was originally surrounded by outer walls with four corner towers (ruins of some remain). It is likely to have been built by Hugh de Lacy, along with Carlingford Castle on the opposite side of Carlingford Lough, to guard the narrow entry channel to the Lough, and the ferry crossing between the two.
Another picture from our recent visit to The Black Mountains.
Looking over this landscape is just a delight.
This picture was taken on a recent trip to the Lake District. Caroline and I were on a photographic workshop with Rob Ireland.
The wheat is nearly ready for harvest, even though the summer seems to stop and start. This tree is complemented by the moody sky and the wild grasses and the wheat growing around it Processed entirely in Lightroom CC.
Ballynoe Stone Circle.
An early Neolithic stone circle approx 35m in diameter made up of approx 50 stones, some up to 1.8m tall. The circle surrounds a long low mound. Three pairs of stones are outside the circle. One pair is aligned on the setting sun midway between mid-winter and mid-summer (around 21st March). The setting sun on the winter solstice seems to slide down between the Mourne mountains in the distance.
One of the first images I took on our first visit to Lake District.
With our photographic guide Rod Ireland.
Caroline and I had a great time in this part of England and we would love to visit there again soon.
The effects of Hurricane Bertha hit the south coast Of England on Sunday afternoon. Which made a great moody morning for photography as the waves of wind and sea created a much needed difference to the warm and clear skies.
Always a challenge keeping the lens dry with the wind, rain and sea spray.
Lovely cloudy day out with Caroline at Aberystwyth. Fish and chips followed by a walk around this great Welsh town.
