Wales is a beautiful country, hope to make it back there...one day!

Another from the archives, from a visit to the Peak District...seems a long time ago now...

Over the River Great Ouse in Bedfordshire

One from last summer, Erdek, Balıkesir Province, Turkey

Just in case anyone was wondering...yes, we have lone trees in Turkey. Sometimes a group of them (if that makes sense), I mean, a large expanse with line trees dotted around. A group of line trees, .... hmmm I'll get a picture next time...that might explain it!

Picture taken while walking down by the the sea.

The Pennines, looking North from Appleby-in-Westmorland.

Bird Composition; I added a "sky with texture"; 2008 DianaLee Photo Designs; Selected for "EXPLORE" Front Page

Another image from a very different sunrise at Folkestone.

So lucky to be able to view the sunrise in the morning from so many different locations in our local area.

Summer day at the beach, Folkestone.

Moody sunset at Magpie Mine a few mins before the thunder and lightening took over the scene, grabbed this shot and ran back to the car!

Fantastic rain cloud was running along the English Channel.

Caroline and I chased it as it made its along the coast.

My only hope was that we caught the light behind it...

Another moody visit to the beach huts at Seasalter.

Government approved walk at sunrise this morning, but it was the sun so much as the massive clouds lit up by the sun.

Another picture from our recent visit to Whitstable.

Love this location of Seasalter.

The beach huts look grand in there marsh surroundings.

The clouds were beautiful to watch...

Another image from last week at Dungeness just a slightly different composition. Moody morning with John at the unmistakable landscape of Dungeness.

Another of those lovely mornings at the beach.

Greencastle is a castle in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is a royal castle built in the 13th century & had substantial 15th- and 16th-century alterations. The approach to the rectangular keep is across a rock-cut ditch. It was originally surrounded by outer walls with four corner towers (ruins of some remain). It is likely to have been built by Hugh de Lacy, along with Carlingford Castle on the opposite side of Carlingford Lough, to guard the narrow entry channel to the Lough, and the ferry crossing between the two.

Looking out at the ocean on a moody afternoon.

Getting in the sea at the weekend was lovely but very tricky with the rough waves.

Sunset over Lake Erie, view from Whiskey Island pier.

Moody wet day at Folkestone.

A timely visit to this lovely place during a cold snap.

Little run a round the Romney Marsh one evening as a storm was brewing.

Another image from our Lake District visit last year.

Another picture from our recent visit to The Black Mountains.

Looking over this landscape is just a delight.

The Light layers of the Black Mountains are amazing.

Taken on our last visit to Wales.

This picture was taken on a recent trip to the Lake District. Caroline and I were on a photographic workshop with Rob Ireland.

The wheat is nearly ready for harvest, even though the summer seems to stop and start. This tree is complemented by the moody sky and the wild grasses and the wheat growing around it Processed entirely in Lightroom CC.

Ballynoe Stone Circle.

An early Neolithic stone circle approx 35m in diameter made up of approx 50 stones, some up to 1.8m tall. The circle surrounds a long low mound. Three pairs of stones are outside the circle. One pair is aligned on the setting sun midway between mid-winter and mid-summer (around 21st March). The setting sun on the winter solstice seems to slide down between the Mourne mountains in the distance.

One of the first images I took on our first visit to Lake District.

With our photographic guide Rod Ireland.

Caroline and I had a great time in this part of England and we would love to visit there again soon.

Caroline and I out and about during the recent snows.

The effects of Hurricane Bertha hit the south coast Of England on Sunday afternoon. Which made a great moody morning for photography as the waves of wind and sea created a much needed difference to the warm and clear skies.

Always a challenge keeping the lens dry with the wind, rain and sea spray.

Lovely cloudy day out with Caroline at Aberystwyth. Fish and chips followed by a walk around this great Welsh town.

This is a alternative version to the mono I presented the other week. Choosing to pop the red jeans the girl was wearing..

Caroline and myself made a quick dash to Wales over the holiday period.

Passing through the Brecon Beacons is always a pleasure.

Early Saturday morning. The sky was really lovely as it developed. The sunrise was very quick as it climbed up above the clouds. Thought the shot of the day had already been taken. However this came out of the can first...
