Fun fact: I built the train model almost a year ago. I wanted to build a moc with it and post it at the end of last summer but lack of time or motivation and constant change of ideas made me finish it 10 months later.
The idea of building an old train or a locomotive came while playing Red Dead Redemption II, so yeah, the game was the main inspiration, even tho there isn’t much Western-like stuff on the moc.

We don't even have any snow yet, but this completes my year's set. Thank you to the administrators & participants in the group.
Last saturday, Madelief and Karel had their tenth monthly birthday.
The grand tour around Germany was a big success. We all loved it. We stayed at a farm guesthouse, visited a spa, stayed at friends' places and we did a lot of playing, eating and siteseeing.
On the first day in Germany Karel suddenly sat up by himself, so this is the first of the monthly portraits where they're both sitting up.

So begins the last day of January. It's Sunday and the sun will soon be up. The blizzard is over, first major snowfall this winter so I suppose we've been lucky.
When you wake up to this it more than makes up for the dumping of snow we received. Mother Nature works her wonder and all is good with the world again.
Gratitude is the simplest way to change one’s perspective of the world. It allows us to appreciate the positive, rather than focus on the negative aspects of our lives. Learning to be grateful helps us appreciate the little things in life that we tend to take for granted, which brings about a deep feeling of satisfaction that fulfills and nourishes us.
I'm going to try for the month to show some of the people and things I'm truly THANKFUL for.
Today I'm thankful for Dave who goes along with some of my silliness escapades. Yesterday we had fun at the senior center lunch.

So today we took the kids whale watching. More accurately whale spotting if you are really, really lucky and looking in the right direction at the right time.

We stayed in this very cute cabin briefly, while our house was being shown. We saw no bears, & our house sold quickly. And our moving date is imminent, & I'm not sure how soon we'll have internet---

You know Amber!! She surprised me yesterday with a visit!! as soon as I opened the door these were the gorgeous eyes that I saw first!!!! After playing with her a little, had to have a photoshoot!! Isn't she gorgeous!! and good nature too,she knows what she wants, LOL!! Now Amber is 8 months old and has 2 front theeth!!! fast to roll over, stands on her toes, one step forward and 2 back!! Loves to dance and and watch cartoons!!

Last day of January, first fully completed month of the year, 1/12th of the way into my 365 project! It was flippin' ass cold today and will be even more cold tomorrow. I took the light rail today to avoid a shitty commute, but I was not dressed for the cold temps: dress pants, short-sleeved shirt, tennis shoes, hat, gloves and a light jacket... yeah... walking over a half mile in the frigid cold in those clothes was probably not the smartest thing I've done lately! I think I'll risk a long commute tomorrow and drive into work - at least I'll be warm!!
