Going Somewhere and Veneer Alpha by Two More Days
You are seven months old! I can't believe how fast you are changing and growing. In the past month, you have gotten two teeth and I think you are working on your third. You finally got to start eating solid food and you are a fantastic eater. You'll eat anything, but it's clear you have a special love for carrots.
For Christmas, your Dad and I got you an activity table because we know how much you love to stand and you will stand and play with it until your little legs can't hold you up anymore. However, you have absolutely no interest in crawling. I'm pretty sure you're going to take off walking any day now, but you just don't want to be on your stomach.
You've started to take an interest in being read to more, which makes me happy. I enjoy picking new books out for you from the library and reading them to you. Sometimes I try and sneak in some excerpts from my books, but the lack of pictures tends to clue you in pretty fast.
Winter's been a little harder, since you seem bored sometimes, but we can't really go outside. I've taken to carrying you around to different parts of the house to give you a different view. It's hard when you're frustrated and I can't tell what you want. But I wouldn't trade being home with you for anything.
High point on my timed exercise hike through Whiting Ranch, far ahead of my expectations. My high goal was in a year or so after knee surgery I might be able to get close to a 1:30 time on my hike through Whiting. Today I beat that by a healthy margin, less than five months after surgery.
Took me a couple years to get to this pace the last time - and then I was ten years younger. Today's hike clocked in at 1:28:28.
Hell yes!! ... and I am still getting stronger.
The next goal is to hike up Saddleback Peak, preferably in winter. Did not expect to reach my goal in mid-summer.

Cleo is developing splendidly and, on Thursday, turned five months old! Of course, we must remember that, with her having been born three months premature, it's as if she's two months old developmentally. As you can see, she's pushing up, loves to try to stand on her legs (with help), and is starting to smile!
Hazel turns 18 months old tomorrow. She has taken several steps on her own on more than one occasion, but isn’t fully walking yet.

High school baseball returned to York/Adams County, and PeoplesBank Park amid the pandemic of Covid-19 restrictions which left the High School Class of 2020 York/Adam County spring baseball season shut down. With the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball suspended it's season, that left York City without any baseball for 2020. York Revolution sent out invitations last month to the Class of 2020 Baseball and Softball players, and those who signed up got a chance to play at PeoplesBank Park Tuesday and Wednesday night, with the girls softball games to be completed Thursday afternoon.
