Monterrey city, Nuevo Leon state, Mexico, with the iconic saddle shaped mountain in the distance, taken from my hotel room through a dirty glass window, this was the view 180 degrees from the previous upload, Happy weekend to everyone.
Finally managed to get this shot, had been planning it since November.
This was shot during the past full moon and had to scout the place the evening before. When I was hiking to the mountaintop I crossed paths with a rattlesnake, thanks to it's advice I took my distance and the shoot went all right.
Picture is a stack of 18 shots at 300mm, making it a huge file.

Después de planear esta toma desde Noviembre, por fin la obtuve.
La foto la tomé la última luna llena y tuve que caminar al lugar adecuado desde una tarde anterior para asegurarme de la toma. Mientras subía a la montaña me crucé con una víbora de cascabel, pero gracias a su aviso, me separé y todo salió bien.
La imagen está compuesta de 18 fotos a 300mm, haciéndola una imagen bastante grande.
El castillo de Monterrey es una fortaleza-palacio, ubicada en el municipio de Monterrey (Orense, Galicia, España). Está situado en una colina que domina el valle del río Támega, en la confluencia de las carreteras que unen Puebla de Sanabria y Orense y a unos 28 km de Chaves, (Portugal). Es una de las fortalezas mejor conservadas de Galicia. Fue declarado Monumento Nacional el 3 de junio de 1931 y actualmente es un Bien de Interés Cultural, dentro del catálogo de monumentos del patrimonio histórico de España.
The castle of Monterrey is a fortress-palace, located in the municipality of Monterrey (Orense, Galicia, Spain). It is located on a hill overlooking the Támega river valley, at the confluence of the roads that connect Puebla de Sanabria and Orense and about 28 km from Chaves, (Portugal). It is one of the best preserved fortresses in Galicia. It was declared a National Monument on June 3, 1931 and is currently an Asset of Cultural Interest, within the catalog of monuments of the historical heritage of Spain.

I was trapped in a hotel room close to the airport in Monterrey, Mexico. I was informed it was not safe to go out. What to do? Watch tv, read a book. I looked of my window as the "golden hour" started and I saw the potential. I ended up with a series of semi-abstracts that I am quite fond of

A la derecha el Cerro de las Mitras y la Ciudad de Monterrey; a la izquierda la Sierra Madre Oriental; al centro el sol se está poniendo en la Huasteca.
Una de las fotografías que realicé en el año 2001, antes de ingresar a estudiar la licenciatura en Artes Plásticas con opción en Fotografía en la Universidad Veracruzana.
