Like any other kid, the little man loves to play in big boxes. He's especially happy now, after our recent monitor purchases.
One of the kiosks that shows crappy advertisements at Easton Town Center in Columbus OH bluescreened today. I enjoy the fact that I could have built them a Linux (or otherwise free) solution that didn't require a Windows site license.
This one's taken horizontally. So you can read the text or something. Seemed like a good idea.
I didn't cut enough 3" strips for the whole turret roof, so I used some from the cut-off end to cover the rest of the disk.

jon and i got new monitors today. his second monitor was getting a little skitchy, and well, i didn't have a second monitor! i didn't even have a widescreen! so now he has two wide screens, and i have a nice new widescreen and my old one (which is really nice video quality, but not wide). you can see my little toy collection scattered across my desk :)

The processor souped this in the wrong chemicals, and so I got b/w images instead of color. Kind of a bummer given the premium price I paid for the film, but at least the images are still usable.
Pitfall-style insect interceptors can be used to monitor for bed bugs. However, monitors can pick up other arthropods as well.

For the men serving aboard the USS Monitor during the historic clash of ironclads on March 9, 1862, the battle was the most exciting time ever experienced. Many of them cherished souvenirs of the battle and the ships involved. These three items belonged to members of the ship's crew.
Eagle Statuette: This small monument was partially made from the remains of armor plating taken from the USS Monitor and the engine of the CSS Virginia. It was presented to the Monitor's Chief Engineer, Alban Stimers, who operated the turret during the battle.
Miniature Wood Tub: made by a sailor, possibly from wood taken from the Virginia.
Carte de Visite Photograph: This souvenir belonged to the Monitor's Acting Master, Louis N. Stodder. It is an image of a shell fragment form the CSS Virginia and a piece of iron plate and flag from the USS Monitor.

Misteriosamente, só aparece o "G", de GPRS, nunca vi o tal "E" que dizem aparecer quando a conexão é EDGE.
We had so much stuff, and so much packing material, that we had to do a few runs mid-setup to toss packing material back in the car. Here, Jeff moves monitor boxes around. We used all four of our monitors - this was our most tech-intensive display ever.
You'll note that the second TV stand isn't set up. This is about when we realized we were missing parts for it and we had to make an emergency run to a hardware store.
