Sharing more personal photos these days... I don’t go out shooting in the “wild” as much for now lol. But my camera is used pretty much daily for my every day life.
As most of you know I have seven children. When we do activities like pumpkin carving it’s just easier for everyone if we do them in groupings... a few kids at a time. That way I have more time and patience to devote to the experience. We started with my two youngest, which are 2 years old and 4 years old. My 2 year old flat out wanted nothing to do with the experience. When i realized he was 100% not interested I let my 7 year old take his place and my 2 year old ran free. We could not coax him to look inside or get him to show any interest in the pumpkin experience.
Meanwhile my two older boys had a blast drawing out their own patterns and helping me carefully carve them. When my two year old Avi saw them with their finished pumpkins, he instantly wanted his brothers pumpkins. I told him no, kindly but firmly, he’ll have to wait to make his own own. I sat the older two down to take a picture of their proud faces and finished with and Avi plopped right down in front with the biggest pout you’d ever seen.
He photo bombed the picture but it was still pretty cute . Thought you’d all get a kick out of the story. Also - No worries, we’ll be doing more carving soon and Avi will get his second chance
I've been super busy with work, school and #momlife lately. Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone.
Sometimes it takes half a day to be able to take a shower, and then it feels like this huge accomplishment. The days go by so fast and it often feels like i don't get anything "real" done apart from the daily chores and routines that will be the same the next day.
Glad she still reaches for my hand. After a summer full of adventures, it feels good to step back into routine together.

A typical night where I sneak in some reading in the dark while the baby is sleeping and before I fall asleep myself.
I wish this was in focus but somehow I miscalculated and then the battery died. I think I'll shoot this setup again with better focusing, I've had it in my mind for a while now.
For the time being, this will have to be enough, even though I'm gritting my teeth as I'm writing this. I could have opted to shoot something else quickly with my phone, but part of the daily photo challenge for me is 1) to let go of perfectionism and get over myself, and 2) to document more of my life with me actually being in the pictures.

The films is sent to the lab recently are developed and scanned and I'm pretty happy with the results. So here a short break from the 366 project and on to some film photos!
These were taken with my Canon AE-1 on Agfa Vista Plus film (iso 200). I'm really really happy with the colours here; some are extremely well saturated (depending of course on the light and the colors of the subject).
I remember this day vividly; it was late October (the 29th or 30th), it was hot outside (considering the time of year), sunny and it was perfect because it felt like summer with the benefit of pretty fall colours everywhere.
We named our son "Nuraiz", meaning The First Ray Of Sunlight Which Came To Earth.
Alhamdulillah, by the grace of almighty Allah he was born (6.44 am) at about the same time of sunrises on August 25th.
