The official, and also most common, nickname for Molde is The City of Roses or Rose City.

As you explore the city, you will see why it was given its nickname. In the city center you will find rose gardens, parks, statues, and murals all paying homage to the iconic flower. Even the town hall roof has a rose garden and is accessible to all! Decorative gardening has been popular in Molde for many generations and adds to the city’s beauty and charm.

"The town's largest collection of roses is to be found at the Town Hall roof, but the magnificent roses in the Alexandra Park is also worth your time.

A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae, or the flower it bears. There are over three hundred species and tens of thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles "

Most of my flower pictures are captured in and around the city of Molde. The second largest city in the county of Møre og Romsdal. It lies along the shores of the Romsdalsfjord in Western Norway.

This charming city has been nicknamed the “City of Roses” since 1913. It boasts incredibly scenic views and surroundings and is filled with beautiful parks and gardens.

Godtfred Lies park is a green oasis in the heart of the city, in the middle of traffic and bustle. The park is close to the Moldeelva and is named after Gotfred Lie. Born in Molde 1886 - Director at Aker Mek.

The family Asteraceae, alternatively Compositae, consists of over 32,000 known species of flowering plants in over 1,900 genera within the order Asterales. Commonly referred to as the aster, daisy, composite, or sunflower family, Compositae were first described in 1740.

Meste parten av bildene mine er tatt i og rundt Molde by. Byen ligger i Møre og Romsdal fylke, som en av tre byen. Ålesund, Molde og Kristiansund. Molde ligger i delen av fylket som heter Romsdal. Geografisk så ligger Molde by nokså midt i Norge. Landet ligger ganske langt nord i Europa.

Good Morning Thursday!

Sometimes the world just tells you to pause. This morning, I stepped outside and saw light creeping over the horizon like it was unveiling a hidden masterpiece. The wind whispered through the trees, and the sky blushed with pastel warmth.

Nature reminds us: even slow starts are powerful. The journey doesn't always need a sprint. Sometimes all it takes is standing still, breathing in, and feeling grateful. ️🌅

Photography is more than a lens—it’s a way to connect with these moments that slip through the cracks of daily life. Every frame I shoot is a reminder that the world wants to be seen.
