Post Process - Cropped

Laid on the path with a table top tripod.

Today I've been practicing using the Monochrome picture style, shooting in JPEG mode. I've also been saving the settings used on the Customised Shooting Mode via the camera menu so I could switch between homework shots and other shots just by turning the mode dial.

I don't normally think in B&W but I'm rather taken with this as a subject matter. With a re-shoot I think this could work, i.e. straighten up, alter composition maybe to include more of the leaf on the left, play around with the shadows from the clock hands, and maybe even the apples.

Just a practice shot, but I am going to take this again.

Photo was captured on my road trip from Chicago to Portland. The photo itself is from a church in Kansas.

Steps Taken:

Changed width and height

Increased resolution

Created a new clean page for starting with a new palette as an artist would start with a clean white canvas for a painting

Used Lasso Tool and Magic Wand Tool

Drew outline around image being removed

Used Move Tool

Did not cut image of tree completely but rather moved it though use of the move tool to copy the image into my collage.

Utilized Edit then Transform then Scale

Manipulated images: changed size to make them larger

Changed opacity from 100% to 45%

Used the marquee tool to select part of picture number two which was one of the church towers

Copied over image to collage

Cropped out part of photo and used eraser tool also changed eraser size to make the change.

Titled new layer: Tower

Changed arrangements of layer order to provide for order of images on my collage which also emphasized a visual pop to take place on the collage

Utilized Transform then Distort option

Used Marquee tool again

Attempted to capture sky part of picture three

Created new layer and used clone stamp tool

Instead of covering tree or cutting it out completely from the photo and impacting it used clone feature to copy sky parts

Increased hardness and opacity to not make the change noticeable

Utilized eraser tool once again

Softened tree appearance to give it more of a foggy look

Linked layers together and used perspective changes

Changed properties of a layer from normal to multiply and changed opacity and fill

Skewed by using transform

Went to fourth image used select all copied and pasted it into layer
