I made this in purple and gold for my mom (her fav team's colors). I used Cacade 220 and it is reallllly long. I think I used 1.5 skiens of each color. The pattern is from the book Modular Knits by Iris Schreier.

I'd seen this module before, but not assembled in this configuration/with this number of units. It's ok, but a bit disappointing if you were hoping for a toy - there's not enough give for it to do more than flex, and if you play with it very much, the simple joints won't stay in place. If you want a static model, it's fine..and I got mine to stand up, so that's a plus. :)
Our first project of the second semester was to design a shelf that somehow incorporated the use of modularity in its design. My design would allow the user to shift the shelves up and down, as well as left and right as needed.
Here, the 8th unit has been slid onto the 7th. The sharp angle of the 7th unit has been folded down over the 6th.
