Yikes...I knew there had been a lot of changes in the Honeythorpe crew in 2012 but not quite this many! These are the 15 new and two 'refreshed' girls of 2012. Quite a number of them are faceplates/body sharers and I think about 9 girls also left the household so it's not quite as alarming as it looks.
2012 was really a year of achieving some dream goals from my wishlist and while it came at the sacrifice of some very special girls from my collection (looking at you Nutmeg, Aine and Alis) I am thrilled to bits with my dolly family.
Cadi, Lennox and Lotta Mackrelmint had all been figments of my imagination for well over a year - home tan pukifee bonnie, mystic pukifee bonnie and my Pippi Longstocking homage were the top three spots on my wishlist and I still can't quite believe they're all here and all so perfect.
Aedan grew more and more despairing as yet another sister joined the family and lost his spot as the only custom kid in the house. I still can't believe that I have not the one Xhanthi girl that I had on my list at the beginning of the year but five!! Late night perusals of the MP when the rest of the world is sleeping really do pay off!
That MP haunting saw my vision of PongPong twins become a reality sooner than I intended and happily Cotton Candy and Fairy Floss were willing to go along with my plans for pink and blue giggling confections. And to think I once vowed I'd never own a PongPong :D
Miss Molly was transformed with a Sour Circus faceup (another major wishlist item ticked off) and Orlaith became the gentle beauty I always imagined her to be thanks to Xhanthi's amazing interpretation of my rambling vision for her.
Thistle found a BFF when Dru-silly arrived home; Drusilla found the 'house-elf' decidedly lacking respect. >__<
Elodie might be just a faceplate but that doesn't stop her from being a princess!
It's not quite a flock, but two sheep wended their way over the hills to my front door. Farley and Clover are quite the sweetest Lati girls ever and their sister Gris is pretty darn cute too!
I was smitten with Maeve the instant I saw her promo pictures and so relieved when I won a spot in the lottery. I still find myself picking her up and staring at her trying to work out just what it is that makes her.so stunningly beautiful
Unexpectedly finding out that I had the opportunity to bring her little sister home had me sleepless for a week. I believe Ophelia is one of only 12 baked Didi's created and she's the perfect sister for Mitten.
Fairyland lost its dominance as the Lati and Blue Fairy girls were joined by Hebe, Siddal and Gertie. All three from new-to-me companies (although MW is officially part of Blue Fairy now). I am quite convinced that Siddal will not be my only iplehouse girl and Gertie snuck in at the end of the year to be the last girl for 2012.
So that's 2012. Already the family is set to expand with my longed for tan Miel hopefully appearing from Lati in the next few weeks. She might be bringing a little friend too!
I'm not sure what my plans are for 2013. For the moment it's getting wigs, eyes, and wardrobes sorted for the current crew. Heaven knows some of them have been waiting long enough!
My little wild elfin child.
I almost let her go today - but no, I couldn't. She felt too solid in my hands, and I love her too much.
iMda Modigli, on the other hand, has already moved on. :( She was a complete impulse buy, and when I held her in my hands, there simply was no click. First time ever that has happened to me! But I have made someone else happy I think. :)
As for the rest of my collection, they're staying put! My Dami replacement head has arrived and will be on her way to Spain for a face-up soon - just as soon as my newly bought Juri Multihead is here, so they can travel together! It's al your fault, Sam, with your super-sweet Leonie! ;)))
