One of the parks in Modi'in has an interesting arrangement of boulders I've been meaning to explore, so I did.

It's republic day weekend, I woke up with a photo in the news of Modi hugging Obama in the airport.
I know I'm not Indian and all that, but I really love the way both of them run their voting campaigns. I remember when Obama's first book out in 2008, how excited I was to look up on him on Wikipedia -- a Chinese girl trying to use the free Internet. Then riding my bike to Cambridge city centre to buy the book. I actually never read it and the price dropped down dramatically 6 months later. His speech still inspires me, I watched his victory speech over and over agin, with then without subtitles.
As for Modi, it was a whole new experience of democracy. It was last year, my second visit to India. The national election became the historical one that could change modern India's future. Apparently Modi speaks very well in Hindi -- and I respect that. I've said it to Vish and my Indian friends for so many times that it's really sad that you guys are proud of "Not Knowing Hindi". I think language is the tool to access your roots, to know where you come from and to form who you are. Chinese kids in nurseries are still learning ancient poetry and I think that's the path to the soul as a Chinese.
Ohh one more thing, PM Modi was a tea seller -- how inspiring is that?!! I'd be super proud of him if I was an Indian.
Anyway... went to see the new Hindi film "Baby", found it confusing in a new level. Gloomy and rainy night, bleh
