The residence sits on the banks of Philippi Creek in on a triangular shaped lot. The expansive design takes full advantage of Florida’s agreeable climate. The living room wing, bedroom wing, and detached garage together form a private courtyard around the pool shielding the owners from both the street and the public waterway. The living room wing runs along the creek and opens to the long views over the small body of water.
An exterior shaded gallery is part of the entry sequence and is on axis with a grand oak on the river’s bank. The office and guest room are reached along the courtyard and connected to the house by the gallery. A west facing balcony perched over the entrance offers a viewing platform to catch views of the setting sun and to reconnect with the neighborhood.

Quarry Visitor Center, in Dinosaur National Monument in Utah was built as part of the National Park Service's Mission 66 program of modern architectural design in the US national parks. This visitor center exemplifies the philosophy of locating visitor facilities immediately at the resource being interpreted. The visitor center was closed from 2006 to 2011 due to structural damage from unstable soils. The rotunda structure was demolished and replaced with a new structure of different design, while the quarry section was being stabilized and repaired.
The visitor center was built in part to attract visitors to the little-visited monument, which had been threatened with flooding by the Echo Park Dam, as a means of guarding against renewed reservoir proposals. The visitor center's concept was first expressed in 1916 when George Otis Smith, the director of the U.S. Geological Survey, suggested that the specimens be displayed in the northern canyon wall. Local citizens, including the dinosaur quarry's discoverer Earl Douglass, proposed a skylit shelter for the display. A temporary shelter for the bones and their excavators was finally built in 1936. A preliminary design in January 1937 was produced by a group including the Park Service Western Office of Design and Construction, the American Museum of Natural History and the directorate of the Park Service that closely resembled the eventual design by Anshen and Allen. A number of succeeding designs followed, becoming more elaborate and departing from this concept. No funding emerged for the design, but a new wood and corrugated sheet metal shelter was built in 1951, reminiscent of the 1916 proposal.
The Quarry Visitor Center was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2001.

The Langen Foundation building, located near Neuss in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is a stunning example of modern architecture designed by the renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Here's what makes it special:
1. Architectural Design: The building is a masterpiece of minimalist design, featuring a combination of concrete, glass, and steel. Ando's signature use of smooth concrete surfaces and clean lines creates a serene and contemplative atmosphere.
2. Location: Situated on a former NATO missile base, the Langen Foundation is surrounded by the picturesque landscape of the Lower Rhine. The setting adds a unique historical and natural context to the modern structure.
3. Exhibition Spaces: The building houses three main exhibition spaces, totaling 1,300 square meters. These include the Japan Room, a long and narrow gallery designed for the Japanese segment of the Langen Collection, and two subterranean rooms with impressive eight-meter-high ceilings for modern art.
4. Reflecting Pool: A large reflecting pool at the entrance enhances the building's tranquil ambiance. The pool mirrors the structure, creating a harmonious blend of architecture and nature.
5. Integration with Nature: Ando's design philosophy emphasizes borrowing space from nature. The building's integration with its surroundings, including the use of natural light and open spaces, reflects this principle.
The Langen Foundation is not just a museum but a work of art in itself, offering visitors a unique experience where architecture and nature coexist harmoniously.

Opened in 1939, the designer Stanley Heaps created a statement drum shape and a curved canopy over the station's entrance. There are also two pole-mounted solid disc roundels on either side of the canopy. This made the station fairly bright due to the exposure to sunlight. It was fairly modern architectural design in the late 1930s.
*St. John's Wood is also the only station whose name doesn't share a common letter with the word, mackerel.
The Fagus Factory stands as a landmark in the evolution of modern architecture. Designed by the visionary architects Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer, it was constructed between 1911 and 1913 with a design that emphasized clarity of form and function.
Its innovative use of glass and steel, especially in the unsupported corners, broke away from traditional industrial construction and influenced the development of modernist architecture. Recognized for its architectural significance, the Fagus Factory was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011.
