Modella "Jack" Birthu Savage, the seventh child of John Wesley Savage and Elizabeth Jane (Pendergrass) Savage, was born 19 Jan 1877 in Cheneyville, Rapides Parish, LA. He married Nora Douglas 24 Dec 1903 in Alexandria, LA. Nora was born 19 Nov 1885 in LA. They had six children before Nora died in flu epidemic of 1918.
Jack Savage was a retired section foreman for the Southern Pacific Railroad in LA. He died 16 Mar 1952 at Vidor, TX in the home of daughter, Mrs. J.H. Reeves following an illness of several weeks. Children of Jack and Nora:
