Discovering a suitable space to take a picture has the charm of doing a shoot. In this photo, the lift has been used as a location, where daylight is part of the photo from the left side, but the lighting in the lift itself, both on the model and on the metal surface of the lift, gives a cool effect.

Always good to have them around. Both model professionally. Shot taken with modeling light of two lights and a v-flat.

Shot for Nina’s Chiqs beaded Jewelry at Vision Light Studio Houston, TX.

Photos of model April from a photo shoot with my good friend and photography mentor Whitney Stevens. Our ‘studio’ was just a piece of white paper hanging on an office wall by a window. Great fun and learned so much. Thanks, Whitney for shooting with me.

Our office has a photography contest every month. This photo won the contest the month we had a 'Vertical Portraits' theme.

Location: The Veemgebouw in Eindhoven. This location includes the ground floor of a vershal, where small shops sell their products, a nice location with different atmospheric delights, a location is a Wine & Nut position.

In this entire shoot, I made use of the light that enters the building through the windows and the present can light.

You can play here quite nicely with the environment and by putting objects of focus in the foreground (repoussoir), give more depth to an image.

This location I will visit often.

This from a Fashion Show I was invited to photograph recently. This model was supposed to represent Audrey Hepburn, and indeed she played the role well. She is a very talented and gorgeous young woman. For more photos from this event see

Inspired by a couple of model kit builds I've seen in recent years, most recently at Bricktastic where somebody took the Concorde set from 2023 and put it in a 'box' with sprues and all. This has been on my list ever since, but since I've seen model kit MOCs for planes and Bandai figures, I thought I'd try my hand at a car. Everything here is Lego asides from the Citadel paints (which I was unable to convert into brick form, and not for lack of trying 😛), although admittedly the sprues are among the most fragile things I've built in recent memory.

C&C welcome as always.

This was a still-life set-up that I took a close-up of and then processed in Topaz Software to make it appear authentic. It involved two plastic model tanks set up inside a lightbox.

I'll be honest: 2021 sucked. In many ways I am blessed, with my family and friends and I had a few good moments in the summer, again, with family and friends. However, I struggled with the limitations due to the pandemic and with the effect it had on my work and my general well-being. Fortunately some changes are at hand in terms of work, with my role changing.

When it comes to LEGO building this was an unusual year too. I built a lot less than last year and I couldn't muster much interest in building large or complicated aircraft models. Instead I turned my attention to building smaller things. I built a few 1/22 scale cars, but all of my other builds were minifig scale, with me trying my hand at some minifig scale military vehicles / missile launchers, as well as civilian trucks and earth-moving equipment.

A few highlights in the collection are the XV-15 tiltrotor, powered with Circuit Cubes and the Teracruzer TEL/ Mace cruise missile.

I'm not sure what next year will bring, but I am looking at a 1/22 scale helicoper, a British AA recovery truck and a new minifig scale aircraft.
